Very nice... a similar "towards functional desktop" cockpit I have my self. However... after a couple of versions I realized that the lateral consoles have to be placed a bit lower... at the thigh level or lower. Otherwise you will feel a bit of strain in your hands after a few flight hours. I think most of the real cockpits have the same arrangement.

here's two pics with mine. The stick is detachable having a anchoring pylon just at the edge of the chair.

Is the best I ever had.

I had Thrustmaster AFII, Saitek x45, X52, X52pro, Thrustmaster Cougar (the F16 one) before... neither as good and full of features (balanced) like this one. Also... this one was free gift from a friend... so it is unbeatable price-wise :megalol: .

With the latest firmware it has the reversal bug solved on X and Y axes so is coming close to perfect HOTAS.

I bet Zaelu likes dogs...

Anyway, the detachable stick just at the edge of the seat is a great idea Zaelu. I'll think I just might copy your idea, thanks.

Waiting for my X-52 Pro BTW, should arrive tomorrow. I really wanted the X-65 but Christmas drained my bank account to almost zero...

I am a fan of cats rather but dogs are OK too. Not owning either of them anyway :P . But, that towel was "invented" in the summers when sweating on long flights in bombers in Il-2.

:) here is how I did the support for the stick. Is a Dur-aluminum prism and a wooden plate. with some screws.

Sorry about the picture quality but I don't have a good camera... (I don't really like them :D )

Just incase you wondered about what the heck is SETAC (actually no one did), it's a proggy that my friend is working at. Much like Lock On Virtual Panel or LEAVU etc...

Here's three screenshots of SETAC in action:

'Slightly' OT: Your GSX-R on the wall?

Nope... can't say I wish either... I'm a bit of a Honda and Yamaha fan :D but, is a cool picture "from the internet" (I named it "Metal Tango"). I do have a Honda CBR600F4 though :pilotfly: .

Sorry for OT.

On Topic

tagge, that program will have the two lateral screens looking like the real MFDs? With buttons arround etc... clickable with a touch screen I mean.

At the moment SETAC is sized for a 15" screen so Cougar MFD's should fit nicely around the SETAC MFD's.
