I like the ghetto style Cali, panel off the side of the rig. I hope you don't bring such philosophy to your day job however :D S!

LOL, I just got done cleaning it out

@ G3, I'm thinking of moving the computer desk next to the window and the pit on the left side where the table is now. Might have to get another monitor for the pit. That way I can have the pit and FPS desk. But that might not be a bad idea for the keyboard. I'll have to check out a few options.

@ One_Shot, I'm going to try to make it there Tuesday hopefully since I'll have in-laws in town to watch the kid.

Does anyone know if you can have 2 USB keyboards hooked up and working on 1 computer?

Nice, that was cool of Rugg to give you his old kit.

This is where the FPS/normal computer stuff is going to happen

Another glance at the pit, HOTAS is in place. Can't wait til I can get a bigger monitor/TV

IMG_1799%20%28Medium%29.JPG

A shot at both

Still have a few things in mind that I want to do. Need to get another monitor, something 19-22" maybe even a 15" will work better.

Slow process. Wife ordered Cougat MFD's for me for Christmas but amazon doesn't have them in stock and I cancel my order. Will reorder them when they get in. Then I'll have to rearrange things once again.

Just bought this the other night so that I can hook up my 15" LCD monitor. Now I can see who is in comms and put whatever other info I want on 3rd monitor. My 26" and 24" monitor are about 3-4 feet apart and I didn't want to have to look over at it to see whatever else I put on that screen, comms, etc..you get it. I also run them as duplicate displays cause I don't want to have to keep switching back and forth between them when flying and doing normal computing. This little device works great for what I'm doing. You can even use it to extend your desktop. I know it says the res is only 1280 x 1024, but it does higher with the Windows 7 drivers. In the video it says you can watch a DVD on it while doing stuff on the other monitor. I'm happy with it and what I use it for....so far.

Nice Setup.

I have the same exact LG monitor.:)

Since the move and buying another powered USB (7-port) I have it set up and will post pics later. It looks like I will be completely re-doing my CH profile. I use it in 3 modes, NAV, A2A and A2G. And having 40 buttons plus my G15 keyboard, there are some things that I can take off my HOTAS and put elsewhere. This will make it more realistic and easier for me to remember since I won't have 3 modes and shift buttons for the modes to worry about. Good thing a have a lot of free time at work to get this going.

Just a few things I have been working on with the help of a friend. Wiring up switches and nobs. With 3 classes left to finish in my Bachelor degree, working full time, wife going to school full time and 4 kids...it's going to take some time to finish. Still not sure what kind of pit I'm going to make, mosy likely will be an F-22/F-35 type pit.

You're BOTH in school AND you have four kids??!!

WOW!

I went back part time while working, but had only two kids and a full time wife making it all work. Even so, made me crazy...

My hat's off to both of you.

Thanks and yes, I eventually had to finish my degree also and she wanted a steady good paying job. 3 classes and I'm done, then I can retire in 5 1/2 from the Air Force and get another job....yeah :D. But I'm going to try and take about 6 months off in-between jobs.

lol. i brought most of the parts you have on that picture from digikey..

i was hoping to put the switch covers for my collective, but i couldnt find a place for them, clearance for the seat any...

good luck with your project, post the final results!

The switch covers are too big to put on a throttle or stick in my opinion. The circuit board I'm using is simple plug and play....couldn't be any easier then that. I will post results along the way, it's just going to be a long project. Here is another site that has some good stuff. http://www.desktopaviator.com/
