Hi Guys and Gals,

Just a quick question about the Maverick slew. In the video tutorial from ED it tells you to set the slew to 5 if i remember correctly, what does this value actually mean, is this the speed at which the reticle moves or is it the start position of the reticle or something else.

thanks Mithandra

It represents the control speed of the seeker head of the missile, so yea it controls the "crosshair"

A lower value will mean a slower sensitivity

Isnt it the other way around? I think it is..

The figure most likely relates to actual ground speed, 5 ft or 50ft p/sec slew rate..

Ok, sorry, I thought it was lower= faster. I only changed that setting once, and when I did I guess my brain fooled me :)

It does when changing the slew rate of the TGP

I have to put the TGP slew rate to 0.1 (that seems to be the fastest for me)

The Mav I have to set to 2. The lower the faster is slews for me. That is strange.

Didn't know lower-was-faster with the other slew rate adjust. By the way, there's no slew rate adjust for just the TGP. The process of going into the STAT page and adjusting the slew setting for the slew control on the throttle affects everything that uses that control, including the Maverick.

Hello,

I have a related question: how can I target a Manpad with the Maverick? They are so small that the Maverick can't lock on them, even when zooming...Is there a way to zoom even further with the Maverick onboard system?

Try targeting with the TGP. Then mark that spot as a waypoint and the slave SPI to waypoint and bring your MAV up and boom should be on tgt ready to roll

The manpad must be a high profile target! lol
