omg I don't know how to configure my G940 with the game its not working properly

Joy X and Y r different, the throttle up on the G940 is Joy X and Joy Y is the Joystick Y motions

Can you make it where it's easy to set the stuff with the G940 to auto detect. I can't configure it properly : (

Can you make a G940 profile?

If I knew I could probably never use the G940 I would have never bought this software!!!!

Word advice. PC sims are not for the plug in and go crowd. If that is all you can handle, you need to go check out the Ace Combat or Hawx series.

My G940 works beautifully in both DCS Modules. The default setup is pretty pathetic, I will agree on that though. There is what, 5 main HOTAS setups used and DCS can not program them as a somewhat useable profile in the game.

 Quite true.

On a slightly OT note: I laugh and get a little angry at the same time when I see HAWX listed under "simulators" on Steam. :chair:

I hooked up my FSX: Acceleration properly Arma 2 nearly properly though some buttons r mapped to the same thing so I can't use them for different things.

I have a Fanatac GT3RS V2 wheel. I hardware redid to make it from V1 to V2. My PC is Watercooled. I have dealt with Peltier and Phase Change cooling. My i7 is 2.8 at 4.35ghz. My Video card is an ATI 5970 10.12 a or b I don't remember the hotfix. I got many other things too such a 46" LCD 1920x1080. I had 3 22" at 5760x1050 with the Triplehead2go. My HDMI cable is $250 bucks. I have volt modded my video card and motherboard throughout the years from pencil shading, to conductive pen tracing, to wiring a variable resistor, and other things.

When I say I cannot get this to work properly I know what I'm talking about.

There is 3 Joy X items. There is like 2 SliderZs there is so many other things with the same name. The only way I can tell which is which is to go in game and see which is which. It takes a long time to exit game and reload it. I don't want to go through that!

and force feedback doesn't even work! And I have the latest G940 drivers officially from logitech installed.

I also had a G25 wheel before and a Momo before. I have an ACT Labs shifter with my fanatec. In test drive unlimited I can't even use both the Fanatec and the shifter because it won't read them separate.

The reason why I'm mad is because it's a developer side type of problem. Only they can make the solution. There's nothing I can do unless I know how to program, hack, and leech software to make it work. Which I don't know how to do.

Hello, I kinda dislike the sarcasm I read here in the answers of some of you without given the slightest hint what to do (but I have to agree that some are very funny).

I hope that you are not one of them that start to whine about the topic that we need more other simmers instead of furious TopGun pilots in the sky.

I want to apologize - this is not the common attitude in this forum!

But AntDX316,

you are not unblamable of the reactions.

Up two now (after 6 post, and you claim for refund) no one knows what a software you use!

Lockon2 / BlackSchark / A-10 Beta ?!!

I don't own a G940 but I can assure you that FFB is working fine on my MSSidewinder in all of the three programs.

-I read a lot about firmware issues wit the G940 - is your Logitech up to date?

-Unplug every other FFB controller to prevent miscommunication with the sim.

-Is the profile you use compatible to the Game-version you use?

-Go to options > controls > Axis > highlight your desired function like "rudder" and check the function of this axis wit your controller and what happens in the sim.

-Delete unwanted Axis assignments of unused but plugged controllers out of the control menu to prevent them from disturb your wanted movements.

-Is the use FFB option checked in the game menu ?

-Use the search function of this forum.

One side note- The FFB effects of the DCS/Lockon Series are used to simulate a realistic behaviour of trimming an aircraft and the change of forces on your control-surfaces in different situations.

e.g. You will have a stiffer Stick at higher speeds and it will become lose when there is no drag at you wings.

You will not have a steady vibration/or rumble.

The sim provides this data but to simulate this you will need a vibration/motion platform like it is done in real simulators.

Hope this helps to find your problem and you will have a nice stay here!

This may sound stupid, but have you tried to clear all joystick controls and asign each axis again using the sim controls menu instead of a profile?

If you have 2 FFB devices connected at the same time, only one will get FFB effects. I remember this from someone who tried to make FFB pedals. If you have FFB wheel, unplug it.

Next, I assume you have problems with DCS based product (Ka-50, FC2, A10). Simply go to control screen, choose all from category list and clear every assignment from G940 column. Every device has separate column, so if you have many of them connected you might need to scroll control grid to side.

After you have cleared the assignments, choose a category from list and begin assigning controls by your liking. You just need to click a cell, then click ADD button and press or move your controller - button/axis will be autodetected. Nothing hard.

I read the header "Support for Logitech G940?" and thought someone was actually expecting some from Logitech. Then I read the post and had an even bigger laugh.

Tongue firmly in cheek mode on.

If youre willing to pay $250 for a HDMI lead though I'd go spend some of the rest of the obvious limitless supply of cash you have on a TM Warthog then go plug and play. Good luck on the CDU though, it reads like you may need it ;)

Have you tried assigning the axis yourself from with the program? Very basic process for someone of your skill. From the controller menu select axis from the drop down menu. From there click on the control you want to modify hit the add button and move your stick/throttle/rudder you want to use. It's that simple.

I have no game controllers plugged in except the G940

Everything is updated, The Logitech Software that I used then I routed the game exe to it doesnt work, it's a launcher link u cant link it direct it wont work because of the damn Securom or whatever it is to make sure its activated

I know how FFB is like with the G940, I play FSX: Acceleration with it

Thanks for your illuminating 4liner.

So what we have here?

lets play a little Hercule Poirot. hmmm

I think the info is buried somewhere in this sentence.

Everything is updated, The Logitech Software that I used then I routed the game exe to it doesnt work, it's a launcher link u cant link it direct it wont work because of the damn Securom or whatever it is to make sure its activated
But lets take a closer look - what did this say?!

1.Everything is updated! -:)

2.Logitech software don't work -:(

3.Logitech software don't work because "damn Securom or whatever" - Its definitely the whatever that causes the problem.

Hot tip: alt tab out of the game while the simulation is running and look what a process is running....! It's the DCS.EXE < Use this to trigger the logitech profile. (Keep in mind that this is a very wild guess because I don't even know which software of Eagle Dynamics you use!!!!)

Even Hotter Tip: Dont use the logitech profiler - its poo-poo. Use the ingame profiler of Lockon/Dcs:???? - better/quicker and you can check your axis response.

Please -Throw us a little bone!

Provide us with Info!

It feels like digging up your Nose with chopsticks if this is everything you can give us .

You'll have to set your axes in game manually in the controls tab in the options page, also there is a checkbox for FFB in the misc page in options (Beta4). You'll have to set your profile to be persistant in the logiprofiler as it sometimes doesn't catch exe's running and won't apply the appropriate profile. As PeterP said don't bother using the logiprofiler to launch the game it doesn't work;)
