Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.

You cannot see the bullet holes and, the first you know that its been shot up is when your Frog goes arse over tit due to the front gear suddenly buckling. Isnt so bad if you are only doing 100 or less, but any higher and you are likely to see what if feels like to kiss the HUD with your teeth and have the stick jammed hard up against your nutsac, all that just a few milliseconds before your cockpit is airbrushed red.
