GGTharos Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 What is this little project for/about? (And I'd have to say the Su-27 series up to the 35) Hey guys, I'm doing a little project and I need to know what your favorite Russian jet is. So, what is your favorite Russian jet? Thanks. mvsgas Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 MIG-21 In LOMAC/DCS world, original SU-25 To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
Silent Warrior Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Su-47! 'Cuz it's a nasty-lookin' SOB. :D (But among the less prototypical designs, it's a draw between Su-35 and -37. Don't know the difference, don't really care, never gonna fly one or see 'em in their intended application.)
Severum Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 SU-34 is good. SU-27 rox too. Check Out My Youtube Channel! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc1wxp38k2oBAHIXUR20hjQ Like-Share-Subscribe!
GGTharos Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Here's the difference. The last existing Su-37 (which was NEVER anything more than a prototype/demonstrator) crashed a few years ago. Su-35's are still crashing, but they're going into production ;) Su-47! 'Cuz it's a nasty-lookin' SOB. :D (But among the less prototypical designs, it's a draw between Su-35 and -37. revalence Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Hmm...Most likely Su-35. Beefed up version of Su-27 (In my view of things.) Russians are truly amazing!
Sov13t Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Su-35's are still crashing, but they're going into production ;) A rather bold statement :music_whistling: How are they "still" crashing? With sources, dates and reasons. Oh, and they aren't going into production, they are in government trials. FYI 37 was a testbed for TVC along with a few cockpit "experiments" (side stick and center stick at the same time). Technology from this testbed is integrated in the 35BM program, so serial production 35s will have TVC stock. Speed Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) My favorite Russian jets: MiG-15: MiG-17: MiG-21: MiG-23: MiG-25: And, MiG-29, well I think so...: The only good MiG is a, well, you get the picture :D OK, nationalistic kidding aside.... the Soviets had great jet for its time in the MiG-21... Now adays, if we absolutely HAD to have a single Russian jet, I'd go for a Su-32/34 (which is it?), the "Platypus" or whatever it's called... good air to ground capability with an ability to defend itself in air to air. If we HAD to have a single air to air fighter, make it something in the latter Flanker series... beautiful, mean-looking jets that stack up decently against the F-15C.
