Yep, repair works in the time-honoured manner: shut down and turn all power off, then wait about 3 minutes. Presto, shiny new plane, ready for you to mess it up again.

Yup it does work just as indicated above, HOWEVER.. I was operating on the 1st VFW server this morning and I believe it was discovered that you can keep NAV alignment by engaging ground power and shutting down engines. Then when repairs are made your jet is "cocked" (kinda) so that u can start engines...disengage ground power... and zoom zoom...

If I can confirm I will re-post with conviction...

Or I can wait for OPPSpectre to confirm it. Thanks!

(I may not get in the jet till the weekend)

I can totally confirm that this does in fact work. I landed at Batumi after expending munitions and taking some damage. Pulled in to a serviceable spot and asked ground crew for ground power. After they turned it on, I simply shut the engines down by moving the throttle to OFF. All of my systems stayed engaged, the only caution lights I had were my engines of course. Asked for refuel and rearm and waited for about 3 minutes and I suddenly had a repaired A-10C at my disposal. Everything still running. All I did was start engines back up, re-load data and go.

Nice find RavenOne

Read the F.A.Q. :)

I know I've read the manual I've turned it to HM and hit the button I just haven't spent a lot of time trying. I know you have to use the intercom it is just figuring it out in the right combination.

Was your APU on? Or your systems were on battery power?

APU power was off. Here's how it went from what I can remember.

Pulled in to spot>Requested Ground Power>Ground Power On>Left Engine Off>Right Engine Off>Rearm&Refuel>Wait for the bullet holes to disappear>APU Start>APU Gen>Requested Start Up>Left Engine Idle>Right Engine Idle>Disconnect Ground Power>Re-load Data.

Everything went smooth for that. On an unrelated note, after I got repaired and back in the air, I experienced complete Right and Left hydraulic failures and ended up having to ditch. Don't know if that was just a random failure or if it was related to repairing.

I wish i could say i had the the same luck as all the other people here. I got shot up and lost my left engine. landed on the runway and shut everything down. I also got a brand new shinny airplane. But the left engine never would even spin up to start. I was reather disapointed :(

Sounds like the maintenance guys are only doing a skin repair job. Damage variables aren't being reset after a repair!

In my case the "crew chief" did repair a left MFD failure and another system that I can't recall now, so at least some variation of system repairs seem to be working... but I will assume (since I haven't read it yet) that there are more variables (severity?...root cause?) to the damage/repair sub-routines.

(shrug)... so far I am digging it, but so much more to learn:book:.

Can anyone confirm if the oxygen is recovered in any way?

The other night I was playing MP, returned to base with damage, rearm, refuel and wait 3 minutes, everything was fine except oxygen.

Greetings

Have the same Problem with the left hydraulik System. Both Engines run but left hydraulik pressure didnґt come up.

The Result is a parking A10C in the country.

To all experiencing issues with the repair procedure:

Ta for the heads-up. As holds true for the open-beta releases and still finds applicability now, kindly attend to post a track where possible: Exit mission and when prompted, elect 'Save Track' option.

Have the testers been unable to replicate this problem for yourselves? Just interested if its a local problem or definately a bug?

A short tutorial on this sequence would be great. And where specifically do you look for rearming and refuel? Is itin the area where one sees the fire trucks, and fuel trucks, usually on what we called an "apron" when on a flightline?

Hey dne48 check out this thread, http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1099520&postcount=4

The only changes since that post was made, was that now if you shut down your engines at a friendly airbase (not sure yet if it needs to be "in the Ground Crew Interaction Zone) and wait approx 3 min, your A-10C is repaired.

I can confirm that repair actually repairs not just reskins as Vulcann and I were flying MP last night, and he had a tire blow on taxi, so he stopped, asked GC Chief for external power, shut down the engines, and then we waited for approx 3 min, and voila! his tire was repaired/replaced and off we went.

I can also confirm some bugs that have already been brought up in other threads that happen with the TGP loosing FLIR functionality if you change your loadout on the tarmac after mission start.

Subsequent to me seeing this thread/prior to my aforesaid post I loaded up a runway-start mission and baited a ZSU-23. Did not end well at all and I just managed to limp back to Batumi with all sorts of catastrophic failures/errors/bits hanging off.

Spooled down what was left and repaired. Started up and all was fine until I ran into the ZSU again......

In conclusion - at present it seems not to be a Bug I can put my finger on, hence the request for tracks where possible.
