Vekkinho Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Well if Hillary's deploying USAF fleet like that I guess she's on LSD... Are you ok? Have you been drinking or something? You're starting to edge towards trolling. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
GGTharos Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I think my earlier identification was incorrect and they are indeed AASMs. LGB's or AASM's, which are GPS guided; I'm not sure. RF13 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I've been thinking about the armed population in Libya. They seem to be very familiarized in operating all the weapons they have. I see ordinary citizens operating AAAs, machine guns, rocket launchers... Is it part of their culture? 1 [sIGPIC]http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/6229/133z.png[/sIGPIC]
lester Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 (edited) Here you go, some more 'stupid propaganda' This video is about 'civils that were massivly killed in Libya by airstrikes', isn't it (I don't have acces to YouTube on my work)? I thought that they show these tales only to russian people. It turned out that they try to 'export' them as well. GGTharos Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 No, it is just a video showing what's going on in Libya, as well as NATO fighters taking off from their airbases. There's nothing in it about large amounts of dead civilians killed by bombing - that's Kadafi's propaganda, and AFAIK so far even if any were killed by bombs, they don't amount to a bucket's drop compared to how many the Libyan army (and possibly the rebels) have been killing. GGTharos Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Ah I see. That's a bit sad I guess - but it makes sense given that Russia seems to be pushing to stop the intervention in Libya. Pilotasso Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 ^^^ LOL! Great find! It's contributes to how stupid this entire NATO/US/EU propaganda really is! So someone anonymous in the internet faked a video and it proves you right? .

The best proof is nation's quality of life. Let's just wait and see, if it will become better for people of Libya without Khadafi. And news... Pilotasso Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 No one guarantees that without kadaffi there wont be another dictator. But if you watched the news recently thats not the objective of the whole operation (infact thats the big unknown right now). it is simply covering the civilians from being pasted on the desert. .

tflash Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 If I read it right the CSAR mission to recover the F-15E pilots was done with V-22 Ospreys! Isn't that a first? http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/03/22/libya.civil.war/index.html?hpt=P1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
GGTharos Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Yes, it is - at least AFAIK. It is because the -53's are now being replaced with -22's IIRC. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
jpm1 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Have to say, the French and their hardware have been impressive so far. That carrier was undergoing some sort of maintenance when the call came. because of budget cuts we made the choice to have a smaller army but 100% operational and very sophisticated SU-25 missions [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mig29movt Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 :poster_offtopic: Come on guys! I don't wan't this interesting thread to be closed! Well back to topic: I've been thinking about the armed population in Libya. They seem to be very familiarized in operating all the weapons they have. I see ordinary citizens operating AAAs, machine guns, rocket launchers... Is it part of their culture? some of them could be defected active soldiers, but it is not something that is unexpected in countries with conscription type army. I know what RF13 would like to say but again: no politics... (but it's hard to resist!) Yea nscode some officers also were on TV. And as an example: at least 1/3 of the male swiss population have their rifles at home (SIG 550) and at least half of the swiss men know how to operate a machine gun... And we also have a lot of Air Force pilots working as normal but serving their duty in the cockpit of a Hornet from time to time. Have to say, the French and their hardware have been impressive so far. Same here! I think it's a really good "advertising" for the french Rafales and yes they are using AASMs. Even on tanks collums and several SA-8 which really impresses me. Sorry ED but I just can't resist: Italian 155mm howitzer Palmaria Young chicks for arms, chicks for arms, anybody?:hehe: :poster_ban: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Waiting to build a F/A-18C home-pit... ex - Swiss Air Force Pilatus PC-21 Ground Crew SFM?
