Yeah saw that RPG video on Apache Clips. I have never seen anything like that before. Stunning footage. I can't even begin to comprehend the fear involved in such an attack.

But as someone sayd sometime, you dont win a war by air fire only.

And thats what happening, only one city remains.

If Gadafi sstrangle it, this petty revolution is over, which will strenghten other dictators in theyr resolutions to kill theyr own people.

Ivorian war , call it like you want was won because of air strikes . a guy summered well the situation in Lybia on french TV , he said Gadhafi is Gbagboising himself . Gadahfi's bunker is bigger than Gbagbo'one but it's the same thing . Gadhafi is cut from everything , he has no supplies from nowhere and each day that goes over his forces are weakened . in oppsition of what i heard somewhere it's pretty different than Vietnam . in Vietnam , the vietnamese had the support of Russia

if you think the french love war you're wrong . Lybian war has been supported here in France by intellectuals that are know to be against any form of violence . war is like Mel Gibson tells it in the "We were soldiers" movie "something that shouldn't happen but happens"

Don't get some lofty idealistic view of your country's leaders. Nobody goes to war just to help people, almost everyone has regional influential concerns. (Which aren't necessarily a bad thing... in fact they're probably a good thing.) Those that don't are simply supporting other countries in a show of alliance, or fulfilling the UN mandate as a great training exercise for their military.

In the 28 to 29 april night the Courbet frigate assisted by an Atlantic 2 stopped several small boats that where trying to mine Misrata harbour . the boats turned back when they spotted the frigate . three mines were discovered in the area . investigations are underway

Gadhafi youngest son (Saïf-Al-Arab) died today , in a NATO attack over his house too . Mouammar Gadhafi and his wife who were in the house survived the attack

 

 

a pilot of Lybian army who was ordered to attack rebels positions , turned back and throw his plane against Gadhafi's son Khamis Gadhafi house . Both pilot Muhammad Mukhtar Osman and Khamis Gadhafi died . Khamis Gadhafi was the chief of the Khamis brigade which is known to be the most well-trained , well-equipped of Lybia .

french planes destroyed a dozen of military vehicles , including a tank . they also destroyed 4 BM-21 (around Misrata and d’Adjabiya) , an ammos depot (near Tripoli) and a SAM site (Sirthe) .

M2000 (D and 5) now operate from La souda from where they do also air interdiction missions both with the Qatari

Jets unleash heavy bombing in Tripoli

 

Light on details, but:

Jets have screamed in low over Tripoli, carrying out a series of strikes in quick succession after witnesses reported two other flyovers near state media offices a few hours before.

...

Late on Monday, witnesses reported two explosions in the capital as jets flew overhead, adding that smoke was rising from a site near the offices of Libyan television and state news agency JANA.

 

A damaged building at the High Commission for Children in Tripoli, which the Libyan government said was caused by coalition air strikes.

from 28-04 to 05-05 , the french destroyed 15 military vehicles including 4 heavy tanks (around Adjabya , Misratah , Tripoli and Syrte) , 1 ammos depot (near Syrthe) , 2 supply depots (near Tripoli) and a command center (near Tripoli) .

during the 7 to 8 may night , while patrolling the Courbet spotted Grad firing rounds . the Courbet engaged and destroyed at least one Grad .
