Seems another guy is saying 1600 CES. Both seem to be developers.

Either way, it's still soon.

It's a huge download, might take a while, downloading at average 540 Kb/s.

First impressions after about 1 hour of flight:

-Performance is similar to Arma2 (surprise!)

-Flight model : tends to roll prett much, chopper itself could be a bit more responsive feels somehow like the chopper is overloaded (medium and light), needs a lot of stick input during all stages of flight.

-Too much shaking in the cockpit here and there

-Sling load is done nicely attaches after some waiting time (ground crew not visible during attachtime), I was unable to deliver the package as the groundcrew didnt wanted to disconnect the load

-Trim works good

-Sound is good

-charackter animation is nice, feels a bit like GTA when exiting with external view :D

Just some quick thoughts.

so is that good or bad. over and above the official specs can you recommend a proper minimum spec to uttilise the software to its max ?

After one more hour I would call it good but the flight model needs overhaul because it still feels too much like arma2.

I´m on a 945 PhenomII on a am2 board with 4 gig and a 470GTX sata and I´m running it at something like medium high @ 1920 . I turned down HDR and post processing. Textures and objects highest visibilty medium shadows low(so much settings) Runs fine and looks really good.

Yesterday I had my first online flight in TKOH we had some problems with CTDs but the ten minutes I was able to fly online were just awesome. 10 guys running around and then flying around like kids in a toys shop. :D

I see great possbilities there. Seen a map were some of the gus like in arma2 had roles on different planes and seats. Even guys that are offering contracts and missions can be played. Huge potential of civil entertainment.

YOu shouldn´t miss TkoH once they´ve tweaked the flight model. I even forgot about that during online playing becaue of the above mentioned.

Woohoo!

Have too agree but the ground get very detailed once you´re getting lower. Grass appears and other surfaces get detailed "sub textures" so it looks good when you walk around for example.

Its graphics is well beyond what you see it depends on the machine you run it on for an FPS Arma2 and even Arma 1 has extremely good ground detail when those graphics are turnned up. Because TKOH is based on A3 then expect some quite awesome detail when its released.

They have mentioned that it might be an option to have Arma3 installed and TKOH installed with a mod to allow TKOH features in Arma3 such as FM/avionics etc.

If you turn up the graphics all the way, the world looks pretty good, but will suck more power than Crysis.
