slug88 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I'd like to see higher level tactical stuff, more than procedural stuff. IE, fundamental combat tactics, wingman management and command, etc. That may be outside the scope of an instructional video, however. Another thing I'd like to see, which should be more practical, is emergency procedures (for probably a couple of the most common emergency scenarios). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
VMFA117_Poko Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I'd like to see ILS Landing Procedures and LGB drop on buddy-lased spot. I vote for slu88's propositions too.
R3d I Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 TACAN and Aerial Refueling done right, also i too would love to see a good ILS in some bad weather.
Bvoiash Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Videos covering the tactical aspect of things would be nice indeed.
coolts Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 1. Refuelling (difficult for many of us ham fisted chimps) 2. Missile evasion (so far we have ironhands old LOMAC vids) 3. tactical mission planning (from briefing to mission completion. ingress/attack/egress). this would be a kind of "bringing it all together" tutorial bridging the gap between systems familiarity and real world implementation in the sim). 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 9700k | 32gb DDR4 | Geforce 2080ti | TrackIR 5 | Rift S | HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO Pedals
Bahger Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 1. Mid-air refueling 2. Low-level attack techniques and profiles, using unguided munitions, including threat evasion. (Poko24, FWIW, I have made a track for an ILS tutorial with commentary in IMC [instrument Meteorological Conditions], featuring an approach to Vaziani from 20,000 ft using GPS and ILS. If there is more interest I will get on with it, but not if it's high on Wags' to-do list).
mooshim Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) Radio Nav stuff through a thick soup to recover would be really interesting. IFR (VOR?) seems an, as yet, unexploited bit of immersive awesomeness to this sim. 636_Castle Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) I'd like to see higher level tactical stuff, more than procedural stuff. I second this, since the actual A-10C tactical manual isn't available. Just some optimal attack profiles for guns, CCIP, CCRP. I want to get the most out of my weapons, and make myself a harder target to hit. Get some good threat synopsis stuff down, too. I like watching your YouTube videos because you're quite skilled at the tactical flight profiles, like you know something we don't. :D If this is a genuine offer I sincerely thank you btw. VincentLaw Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 2. Missile evasion (so far we have ironhands old LOMAC vids) It would be nice to have videos on how to properly handle various threats including enemy aircraft, missiles, and different AA, and maybe how to approach them if necessary. It would be good to cover various maneuvers, more than just how to read the MWS and use the ECM. This is one of the most difficult things to put in an interactive training mission, because if you mess up, you are dead. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Madog Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Hey, AI Wingman management! Stuff like how they react to different attack commands, how to manage AI to keep it at a distance to target, what are the limitations of the current implementations... how to keep them from decending or ascending above or below a certain altitude... how to keep them alive in a high thread environment.

Chops Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Hey Matt, I would like to see how you trim the A-10C for various situations and how your aircraft reacts. Please indicate how you have trim mapped to your joystick as well, and calibrated if possible. I know how to trim a real aircraft, but the DCS A-10C is proving to be a bit more challenging. Thank you.
S D Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 If this is serious i would definatly like to see an in depth ILS approach. I'm having so much trouble finding the glideslope atm.
