deskoilot Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 All is solved: Did a complete uninstall of DCS World and EMC, reinstalled DCS world into C:\Program Files(x86)\DCS World (my 32bit side) and installed EMC to the same place. Works great. In my case EMC could not find DCS with the two programs installed in different C:\ based programs. Whatever,it all works Thank all for all your help. see you on the forum. Deskoilot
pcamera Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 EMC not displaying Hello, I have configured up EMC, no issues exported LUA's, saved lua, selected the lua as my monitor setup, and turned off full screen. My issue is nothing is showing up still. I'm using Helios its working properly I also have a monitor that is interfacing with all of this as a touch screen. What am I missing here is Easy Monitor Config no supported with touchscreen monitors that's about the only variable I see different from everyone else who mentioned there setup. Thanks Guys and Gals Phil

Just a thought as you don't mention it but have you set your resolution to cover both monitors, e.g. for two 1920x1080 monitors in a horizontal arrangement it would be 3840x1080 or in a vertical arrangement 1920x2160? Lets blame it on my dyslexia.Thank you Sir Cool, glad I could help. On another note how have i been playing dcs all these years without a touch screen. Lol, I know. I just got one myself as I've always found them too expensive but I got a good deal on this one. Just need to sort out my desk so I have room to put it where I want and then no more trying to remember keyboard commands :) Main rig: i5-4670k @4.4Ghz, Asus Z97-A, Scythe Kotetsu HSF, 32GB Kingston Savage 2400Mhz DDR3, 1070ti, Win 10 x64, Samsung Evo 256GB SSD (OS & Data), OCZ 480GB SSD (Games), WD 2TB and WD 3TB HDDs, 1920x1200 Dell U2412M, 1920x1080 Dell P2314T touchscreen
Iku_CC Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Seems that this EMC doesn't like that if DCS is installed somewhere else than original path. Mine is installed to C:\Pelit\DCS and EMC find it (path is shown at bottom of EMC window)..but EMC don't show A10/KA tabs (only Misc tab is shown) and I can't make config for it. I tried to add register key like this but didn't helped.... HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C Path = C:\\Pelit\\DCS World\\Mods\\aircrafts\\A-10C I have already working config with exported MFD's but I just wanted to test this... derelor Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Easy monitor configurator stoped working after 1.2.10.32095 update. Anyone with the same issue? Yes, everyone :) It has to do with the Mods\aircrafts folder being renamed to Mods\aircraft in the latest update: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2179220&postcount=38 1338 - beyond leet ED Forum rules EN|DE|RU
Pancake Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 On your monitor.lua change " ED_A10C_RIGHT_MFCD " for "RIGHT_MFCD". This fixes the MFCD but I have lost everthing else. Need-To-Know Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 ooooh noooo! KA-50 is not working either. Argh every time I get things working..... I am thankful they update DCS. But no KA-50 for me until I get this figured out. Glad the Mig came out today. :) Fight to fly, fly to fight, fight to win. Callsign: Need Shu-Ha-Ri

etcher Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Nice thanks Pancake.. did the same for the kA50 and works, :) hopefully "Icemaker" will have time to fix his excellent EMC Actually the problem is with ED. For some reason, and this has been a nightmare for me for years, they keep changing bits here and there, be it folders, file names, and random strings in the config files. This precise one is a back and forth, it went from generic to specific and now back to generic, so, modders, cheers, enjoy ! I understand they're working really hard on making DCSW better, but, frankly, they would benefit a lot from a good, deep, long, meticulous housecleaning. And I remember saying exactly that 2 years ago :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
G00dnight Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 All you do is swap the aircraft indicator files around as usual from backup folder, then go into your registry where you had to make the entries for paths to a10 and ka, modify path from [Drive]\\programfiles\ED\ DCSW\mods\AIRCRAFTS\[plane] to AIRCRAFT. so you should have Path reg_sz "path"="[drive:\\program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World\\MODS\\aircraft\\[plane] obviously put your drive letter and your plane type in where needed. @ lupo, if you just do that it will work but EMC will not be able to tell between A10 and KA50 if you fly both. All ED has done on this update is change the folder name from aircrafts to aircraft so if you only fly One plane all that is needed is to point EMC at the new location. AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick
LUPO1606688396 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Sorry G00dnight I'm not understanding your suggestion. Maybe my bad english. 1) how do I swap aircraft indicator files from backup folder? can you please specify wich files are? 2) wich is the registry, can you please tell me the path for that? Thanks a lot for the help! PS I only fly the a-10 so this will solve my problem! Regards! All you do is swap the aircraft indicator files around as usual from backup folder, then go into your registry where you had to make the entries for paths to a10 and ka, modify path from [Drive]\\programfiles\ED\ DCSW\mods\AIRCRAFTS\[plane] to AIRCRAFT. so you should have Path reg_sz "path"="[drive:\\program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World\\MODS\\aircraft\\[plane] obviously put your drive letter and your plane type in where needed. @ lupo, if you just do that it will work but EMC will not be able to tell between A10 and KA50 if you fly both. G00dnight Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 you need HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Eagle Dynamics DCS World in here you will find A-10C folder click on it and in the right hand window you should see an entry for path something like path reg-sz path = prog files ED DCS W mods Aircrafts a10c right click and choose modify change aircrafts to aircraft and exit regedit. if you only fly a10 that should be all EMC needs to find the info it needs. AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick
Zapper35 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 What hope of a fix that we can apply so all aircraft work again? Zap
G00dnight Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 No hope at all. But I have a10 & ka50 exports working, what do you need to do for what aircraft. 1 AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick

OzDeaDMeaT Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I am running DCS World on my G drive under games. I have injected this path into the registry Here is the extracted information ---- Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\A-10C] "Path"="G:\\Games\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\DCSWorld\\Mods\\aircraft\\A-10C" ----- Easy Monitor Configurator still does not work saying that it can not detect the game being installed. I am running Windows 8.1 64bit Any help would be much appreciated. In an attempt to get this working, i copied my entire dcs world to the standard location (below) and attempted to execute the application. It also detected the application was not installed. It would be awesome if they could recompile the application with a prompt perhaps asking for your install folder rather than it telling you its not installed. ---- Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\A-10C] "Path"="C:\\Program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World\\Mods\\aircrafts\\A-10C" ----- CPU: i9-12900K @ 4.9Ghz M/B: MSI MEG z690 Ace RAM: 128GB Video Card: MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X VR: Varjo Aero
OzDeaDMeaT Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Ok, just got it working after adding this ---- Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World] "Path"="C:\\Program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World" "Version"="1.2.7.23097" "Language"="EN" ---- Going to attempt to change it to my G Drive location and see if i have any luck. CPU: i9-12900K @ 4.9Ghz M/B: MSI MEG z690 Ace RAM: 128GB Video Card: MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X VR: Varjo Aero
OzDeaDMeaT Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Changing the location to the G drive worked. Recommend using reg edit to update the path CPU: i9-12900K @ 4.9Ghz M/B: MSI MEG z690 Ace RAM: 128GB Video Card: MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X VR: Varjo Aero
