Hi,

I just received my brand new thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS. It is great. All of the buttons feel excellent except the pinky switch on the throttle. It is very wobbley. It is no where near as stiff as the rest of the switches on the throttle. I can move it around quite a bit with my finger before it actually switches. So much in fact that it feels like in may be:

'switch forward'

'switch backward'

'push button' similar to the CMS switch.

1. Does anyone else have this problem or is this standard?

2. Is it possible to test the inputs of each button. The software interface for my old X52 would illustrate the button that was depressed. Is that possible with the wartog hotas?

After paying this much I'm expecting a superior product and may request a replacement for the throttle if this wobbley pinky switch is not "standard"

Any thoughts or comment are appreciated.

If its the switch all the way on the left outside of the throttle (lights), then yes mine is wobbly. You should still get a 'click,' but it does wobble. As above, Control Panel, Game Controllers to test DX buttons.

That switch has low resistance on purpose so you can operate it with your pinky. You would not be able to throw it around if it had the resistance of the other switches.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Yeah, it was wobbly on my stick as well. I got mine replaced because of slack on the stick itself, but the throttle pinky switch is supposed to be that way. I still haven't received my new stick yet, but I'll post here if there's anything different with the pinky. :)

Yeah, I find it a little bit irritating, but as sobek says, it's supposed to be this way to be able to use it as, well, the pinky switch.

I don't like it either and I had to open mine to repair it after I suppose having knocked it a bit too hard - a bridge guard missing here? - and I don't like what I have seen inside!

I'm sure that it could be the low resistance kind and sturdy at the same time. If anyone has any good replacement reference with the right dimensions, I could certainly replace it instead of asking TM!

Mine as well, more so when in the center and firmer when fwd or aft.

Got my brand new hog today, and I can state that there is the wobbly pinky switch on this one as well, so all normal there. ;)
