jmod Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 When I'm flying for nothing, I'd like to have mirrors (or not)! And don't no why I have to decide if mirrors is needed before missions. I was wondering if I could click on a mirror to turn it on/off. Let's fly together for the sake of peace :)
Loz Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Didn't think there was. Are you mixing this up with a "Snap View" of the mirrors for which there is a separate Left and Right view brought up on pressing Right Windows N and M respectively? i9 9900x at 5.1 Ghz // ASUS ROG Maximus XI Formula EK Bloc // 64Gb Corsair Vengence 3600Mhz DDR4 Ram // Gigabyte Aorus 3090 Watercooled block//Samsung SM951 M2 x4 SSD // Windows 10 64 Bit //48inch LG48 @ 3840x2160 120Hz//Asus ROG Swift PG35VQ 3440 x 14440 144Hz // TM Warthog HOTAS (Ser. Haggart Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Uh... no? Mirrors are mounted permanently. With screws. Most Pilots aren't taking srewdrivers with them on a flight and they mostly dont have the time to make a break on the side of the air way to disassemble a mirror. So, no, it'ld be really unrealistic. Beside that, I still dont understand why you would do that? Reducing your SA? 1 There's no "Overkill". There's only "open fire!" and "time to reload". Kuky Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 mirrors in aircraft are same mount as those in cars.. you can adjust them and turn them out so you don't see them (reflection in them), looking same as if you turn mirrors off in game PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR

Haggart Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Ah - you want to have movable mirrors? I understood you'ld want to click on them to make them disappear etc... There's no "Overkill". There's only "open fire!" and "time to reload". Specs: i7-980@4,2Ghz, 12GB RAM, 2x GTX480, 1x 8800GTS, X-Fi HD, Cougar, Warthog, dcs-F16-pedals
Frostiken Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Pilots really don't adjust the mirrors - the seat adjusts because you can't see the HUD properly if you're too high, too low, too close, or too far. So if your head is in the right place to see the HUD, the mirrors are going to then be in the right place respective to your head. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Jona33 Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Ejection up to 600 knots, not bad. All they need to do now is make an F-35 work. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
