Flashing white boxes back with 1.1.0.9

ATI Flashing White Boxes, how many of us have this "desease"?

 

Just wanted to see how many users are affected...:lookaround:

 

Please fix this issue... if we know it works fine in Catalyst 11.6 why doesn't someone reverse engeneer for the difference and cause of this anomaly? Cause it's still present in Catalyst 11.11 and I don't want to go back to 11.6 cause I play a bunch of other games that benefit from the new drivers...

yup, it is not a really big deal yet, just turn HDR off. At least the sun looks better with it off.

Hmmm... I didn´t realize this was a bug.... I thought it was sun reflections from ground objects :lol: For me they only appears when I fly near a town or village and they seem to come from ground objects only...

So they never bother me.. or should they?

It's not a reflection... it is a graphics engine glitch or Catalyst glitch or both together... it dissapeared only in Catalyst 11.6...

To be honest, i have few of them, so i can live with that for now.

No need for a Vote, The catalyst Drivers are not implementing a DirectX function correctly for the 69XX cards, the problem is in the drivers.

Is it possible for anyone on the ED team to communicate with AMD and try to find a solution to this? Since it was working with at least one driver version, you would think that it would be a little easier to crosscheck with other driver versions to see what's causing it.

 

I just hate it when both parties just say it is the other guys problem and it sits unfixed.

well, it is surtainly a Ati bug, got it on Skyrim too.

a flashing white square now and then. most time in the upper right corner.

I have white box issue too, newest display drivers (V11.11 11/15/2011) using 6950 2MB - Any1 know if some settings could remove them? My game is version 1.1.1.0

HD6950 2GB, Catalyst 12.1 preview and DCS A-10C 1.1.1.1 and the buggers are definitely still with us...

Hi,

I have been following this problem for sometime now and another squad friend (S77th-Mustang) has been trying to get this problem fixed with no luck, it would be nice of AMD if they could look into the problem. I have not updated Catalyst from 11.6 for this very reason. Come on AMD support your customers who buy your products!! I purchased a HD 6950 2GB because of AMD's reviews!! please fix the Flashing White Boxes.

Some good news, I have had an email reply from AMD and they are going to look into the problem causing the Flashing White Boxes. I sent them a DxDiag report and a Belarc Advisor Profile report they asked for. Fingers crossed.

Here is the latest email I received from AMD, there is a small chance this White Flashing Box issue could be fixed.

 

Dear Customer,

We have checked your problem reports. Your BIOS and chipset drivers are up-to-date and no conflicts in your system could be discovered so far.

I will escalate the case to our senior level technicians. Please note that we expect the newest driver version Catalyst 12.1 to come out in the next 5 - 7 days.

Please check first if this new driver version will resolve the issue.
