Avimimus Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I'm just glad that the Rook is still being worked on. I'd love to have a little more modability (eg. a few extra slots), but basically upgrading the Rook to have current features is great!

To my knowledge, ED has never mentioned specific updates to the Su-25.

spyda Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 FC3!! this is great news as i still play fc2 far more than Dcs ka50 and a10, not that there is anything wrong with dcs. FC2 is just so easy to jump on for a spare hour or so where dcs you need to really sit down and think about what you’re going to do lol 1 HP TouchSmart IQ816 / 25.5" HD touch screen / 9600GS 512/ Core 2 Duo 2.16 / 4GB RAM / VISTA 64 / CH Fighterstick
kobac Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 (edited) "We plan to include several upgrades to the aircraft, a resource management system, and several other new features." Does this mean that SU-27/33 able to carry R-77 missiles? Will we get another one flyable plane? Perhaps a better optimized simulation and higher FPS? Will be improved tracks playback? Grimes Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I suspect it means visual upgrades for the aircraft, but I really hope for functional upgrades also. cichlidfan Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Is the rumor true that I have to buy LO:FC2 just to be able to buy and use LO:FC3!? FC3 requires the installation of LockOn: Modern Air Combat to meet the legal requirements of agreements with Ubisoft. Eagle Dynamics has no other option. I believe the announcement said that you need lockon OR flaming cliffs 2 FC2 requires LockOn, so you still need LockOn. I still have no idea why they worded it that way. vtsgoose1606687932 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Does anyone know if you need an active internet connection for LAN play with FC3? joey45 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 FC3 will be integrated into DCS: World. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. This is a real let down in DCS A10c when playing at flight sim venues with no internet available. You don't need internet to my knowledge when playing on LAN. Launch the Multiplayer client, and then when the login box appears, click "Cancel", and then click the "LAN" tab. This should work. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

No way I'm buying two games just to play one no matter how good they are. FC3 installer will likely check either for LOMAC's or FC2's executable file. 'Legally' that comes down to LOMAC since owning FC2 means owning LOMAC as well ! This is the best ED can do ;) Does anyone know if you need an active internet connection for LAN play with FC3? Remember, for the purpose you don't need a "good" connection, you just need to be connected at all. Even 2G signal is fit for purpose.
