Stuka Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 fantastic work, really impressive and obviously time consuming (chromium, if you can convert comma separated lists (.csv) to excel, I can convert the .lua in the .miz to csv pretty easily. Do you just need a name per entry?) Wouldn't mind a copy of that myself :D Windows 11 | i9 12900KF | 64GB DDR4 | RTX 3090 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals | TM MFDs + Lilliput 8" | TIR5 Pro
chromium Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Here it is, thanks to Pakfront:templates2.zip Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

shabo Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 any possible way to take these files. Say a T-80 battalion that you have "seperated" into multiple templates, and make one big template. I am trying to save myself some time and have the STB80 HQ, STB80 Tank Company 1, STB80 Tank Company 2, STB80 Tank Company 3, and STB80 Supply Platoon all in one template to place on map so that I am able to make it easier to move them about on the map. Is there some way to do it? Whats the quickest way? Thanks for the help and GREAT WORK on this. I have been using it alot for my missions. I just end up making one big group that consists of your current multiple groups, for one battalion and "tweaking" the numbers a little to save on FPS and stability. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] www.wargamelabs.com you might need a life if you computer specs are in your sig ;)
Stuka Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 I'm afraid the only way is to do it by hand... If I once have a lot of free time, I might rework the templates to bigger groups. But don't hold yourself for doing it on your end already, like you did with the T-80 battalion. rhino Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Stuka, thank you for the hard work, the mod is fantastic! Since I've switched from FC2 to DCS A-10C, the improved environment in the sim has changed to the positive side. Lately, I made some templates for NATO and Soviet Union ground troops. Now your idea to put every vehicle "in line" is a good move which I'll take in consideration next time. The FM 100-60 OPFOR (Approved for public release; distribution unlimited), as a pdf file is a good help for that. rhino [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win7 Home Premium 64bit, Intel Core i5-760 (2.8-3.33), GigaByte GA-P55-USB3, be quiet PurePower BQT L7 530W ATX23, CoolerMaster CM690II Adv, LG GH22LS, HD 500GB WD5001AALS, 6 GB Kingston 1333-999 Blu, Sapphire 1GB HD5850 Vapor-X OC, Scythe Yasya SCYS-1000, display LG E2350VR-SN 23"

GripenNG Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Hmm I´m trying to figure out where to insert the .lua file; cause there is no template file in ME map, neither data/scripts as Jona33 says. But there is temp_options.lua...is this it? And yes I run DCS World. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Snooze-81st-vFS
Jona33 Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 You definitely are in the root folder not the Saved Games folder right? Path is Root/Mission editor/Data/Scripts. If there isn't one just put it in there anyway. It worked for me. Don't get confused with Root/Scripts or Root/data. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Julio_Cesar Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 (edited) I had sort the blocks in lua script, but it didnt work in mission editor DCS World. It works but all in mess.templates.rar Edited August 18, 2012 by Julio_Cesar
Ripcord Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Do the Ural-375 PBU Command Post trucks actually have any function in terms of artillery fire control or communications/coordination with other units? I am guessing that they are just another kind of truck with it's own specific 3d model and all, really just for looks -- but figured I'd ask. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Chriz6662 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 is it possible to use this templates in a Generated Missions with the node system?
