monotwix Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 It sucks unless you know exactly what you buying. I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
sobek Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 It sucks unless you know exactly what you buying. Pfft. I did exactly that one time and it still sucked like you wouldn't believe. It brings out the worst in people, i kid you not. Never again. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
monotwix Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 I encourage you to make the new years resolution and buy an online present for hassata. I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.

sobek Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Black Friday madness reveals animalistic behavior of modern people Be that as it may, the second half of that video is pure propaganda. Suggesting that brain function is supressed by flu-vaccination, that's a little far fetched for my taste. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
leafer Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 My first instinct was to say, only in America, but then there are also people like this group that are from there. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/28/lab-raised-beagles-go-out_n_1116446.html?ir=Los+Angeles ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

galagamo Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Over 40 million people are on food stamps, and as many are without health insurance ... These maybe two of many reasons why people behave so desperately. That's the motivation for them being there. The herd mentality, the more of us that are in one place at the same time the more we subconsciously devalue each other. Its clearly demonstrated. Basically risking your life to save a few bucks...how ignorant people can be. Total Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 The reason I asked is because I know people whose incomes are greater than $100K/yr who go out shopping on Black Friday. They get there extremely early in the morning. They have a competative nature and enoying getting a good purchase at a ridiculous price as much as anyone else. I associate with people based upon their persona - not their income. None of the lower class people I am friends with participated in the Black Friday madness. Most of the folks I personally know who did were middle class Americans. The root of the spastic mentallity on that day is not class based. It's society-based.
4c Hajduk Veljko Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 The reason I asked is because I know people whose incomes are greater than $100K/yr who go out shopping on Black Friday.I don't know anybody who makes more then $100 000 dollars a year and fights its way on Black Friday to get a $2 towel at Walmart! BTW only few percent of Americans make more then $100 000 a year. Total Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 (edited) These people are going after the plasma's and higher end electronic deals to give as presents on Christmas. They're looking for deals since they live in a far more expensive house and drive more expensive cars. They're bills, proporionally, are the same percentage as mine and I make less than half of what they do. They're the types who also go to the designer stores on Black Friday to get all new high-priced curtains and such for great deals. I always say that if I ever get to that level of income, the house I live in and the cars I drive won't reflect it. I'd rather accumulate wealth than fancy material possessions, but that's just me. To each their own. My area comprises just around 200K people. The average mean salary is around $48000/yr as of 2009 data. Not uncommon to know folks who have a +$100K/yr household income. Also not uncommon to know those with less than half of that. My wife's best friend makes less than $20K/yr & pays child support. She wouldn't go near Wal Mart or any of the malls that day. She says she isn't desperate for a waffle maker or a 52" LCD TV. I will admit, I was almost tempted to try and snag a 42" 1080P LCD TV that was on sale for around $250. Thought DCS A-10C would look awesome on it. Had the cabbage too. The madness just isn't my cup of tea though. Besides, my 24" 1080P LCD is working just fine. That $250 can sit in the bank :D I'll say that most of the stampede is made up of lower than average incomes, especially at places like Wal Mart, but the crowd isn't ALL lower class.
