HiJack Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Yes I think DX11 was one of the goals of DCS A-10C but had to be set for a later release. I guess its not easy to rework all the code ;) (HJ)

Irregular programming Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) A/ 47 B/ 42 C/ 39 D/ 30 a) 60 b) 41 c) 40 e) 39 Quite a massive drop between A and D. I heard Peter Jackson talking about perceived framerate, he says the eye can detect 60. They are shooting "the hobbit" at 48fps at 5k. He said its not perfect but thats where our technology is. Accipiter, whats your system spec? You and Peter are right. From 24-25 fps above, human eye will see a fluent image, but you will also see the difference between 25 and 60... :smilewink: Btw, what does the MAJOR and minor letters mean? It's sad that Peter Jackson said that because it's blatantly false. There is no set FPS that the human eye can or can not see. It all depends on what you are displaying, lighting conditions, how young/old you are, how far away you are to the screen etc. In movies for example frames are often blended into each other, and cameras create motion blur which makes the transition between frames less of a problem, in games that's is understandably impossible to do because you do not know what frame should be displayed afterwards. I have no difficulty about seeing a difference between 60 and 120 fps when playing FPSs, and I doubt one would have a difficulty seeing the difference between 1000 and 120 fps as well. The fact is that nobody knows whether or not there is a limit where our analog eyes cant receive data fast enough for our brains not to be disturbed by the fact that it's actually just a set of still images that are being handed to it.
