nick10 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Can Dcs give instructions/tools so the community can get cracking building an environment for the p-51? Looking forward to this. Thanks:thumbup:
leafer Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 I'd love to. I'm still learning Max, beginner actually, but if I could, I definitely would help populate the DCS world. I am working on an armored dude which is basically an exoskeleton suit with whatever weapons he's tasked to carry. When the digital battle field is realized, I'd love to have these guys in the game if it's ok with ED. It doesn't look at all futuristic and won't be an eyesore. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
ED Team NineLine Posted January 30, 2012 ED Team Posted January 30, 2012 I have stated this in other threads, but again, it would be nice to get official word on tools for the current and future releases. Or if they are only going to be released to specific 3rd party content creators. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
grandsurf Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 No problem to create matching things and incorporate. But from my point of view that does not make sense without additional spawnponits (gras...) on the newer bases. 1
leafer Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I am confident I can build hard surface objects if it's not overly complex, but I have no idea how to animate them in the sim. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
213 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 a bunch of people already know how to implement things like buildings, vehicles, soldiers, etc. make a thread with pictures of your work, then request for conversion and they might be able to contact you and ask for the model. my hypotheses is that they want to make sure it's "legal" for the game. and also that they're using newly developed methods and tools that are not available yet.
