Sorry guys, I'll start first by saying if this post offends anyone then apologies, but it's something I feel I need to say.

Quite frankly I'm shocked by some of the posts that are being directed at Ed on here.

These Guys and Gals have been working hard, to bring us a fantastic Sim world. Not only have they given time and effort to provide us with one of the best helicopter sims we have ever seen on a home pc. They then turned Round and gave us the best sim I've ever see, the wonderful A10 Warthog. Now not only are they spending time and effort to produce us yet another amazing aircraft, yet to be announced, but we do know it's coming. But not only that, they have also given us a stunning P51 and turned round and made a true effort, to finally bring us one complete world, to allow us to fly all the different aircraft together. Not to mention, the ground units they also producing while all this is going on.

But how do some of us at home thank them. No thanks no well done, No we turn round and complain that the FREE aircraft provided dosnt have a clickable cockpit, or Moan because they can't read our minds and pull our dream aircraft out of a hat. Or even moan about them wasting their time producing ww2 aircraft when we have no idea what the long term plan or even resources are.

Is it just me, who thinks we should be greatful for whatever turns up. Producers are going away from the pc as it is. We have precious few developers happy to provide us with stunning sims as I'm sure theres not that much money in it. Most places just want a quick buck so just push out tried and tested games.

Here we have a producer who not only can produce some of the best sims we have ever seen. They are one of the best teams to communicate with their fans, rather than ignore the forums.

So come on guys and gals, while I appreciate those that are vocal in their moaning are in the minority here. I really don't think we have anything to moan about. We need to see just how lucky we are in the way we are treated by Ed.

They are like I said one of the best customer focused teams out there.

So please rather than complain that our FREE aircraft isn't 3D or your favourite aircraft isn't being produced or even if you don't want to fly aircraft from a certain time frame. Instead of biting the hand that feeds you, take a step back and see what the potential is. If you don't like a said module, well no one is forcing you to buy it.

However if you want to support Ed then, buy it and treat the cost as an investment. Hell I don't think I've flown 60% of the aircraft I've bought for ROF. But I love the potential so I invest in the company. Just the same way I do for Ed.

So Ed from me, may I say a Hugh thanks to the entire team, and please keep up the great work, although it may not seem it at times. It is appreciated.

And for those still here, thanks for sitting and reading this slight rant. Just needed to get it out there.

Cheers for listening.

The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

There will always be those impossible to please, agreed...

Anyway, a "thank you" from me too (although at the moment DCS isn't fired up very often...)!

+1 Cowboy

If the Sun* would run a forum it would be full off complaints about that she causes skin-cancer and only about 1% would say "Thank you for giving live to this wasteland"... :D

I think its similar here -... and quiet normal human behaviour....

It's fair to voice an opinion if it's something they're paying for.

Which, they are not, in the case of the Su-25T which is free and where a large amount of ungratefulness has been focused.

It's like, the more ED gives us, the more criticism people are heaping on.

You want a fighter , ED give you a helicopter, you say :"no,that far from what i want ,so i won't buy it . but a few days later ,you buy it .

Then ED give you a attacker, you say :"though i don't like it all that much , i'll buy it , hoping the next one would be a fighter.

One year later, ED give you a fighter ,but turn out to be a warII fighter ,you got mad and starte to complain that I want a modern fighter.you swear you won't buy it this time .but a couple days later ,you buy it .

ED laughed in the heart: if I had gave you a modern fighter , would you've bought them.

IMO, moderators should merge all the Su-25T/DCS: World/P-51 hater threads into a single one, somewhere, so that they don't get in the way of actual legitimate questions/issues. We have like three or four right now.

Not really... In fact I paid for it twice... Once in FC1 and second time in FC2...

in the case of the Su-25T which is free

Opinion is one thing, moaning and cursing (25T thread) is trolling.

I am very thankful, virtual flight has never been so satisfying for me and I've played a lot of flight sims.

Listen up you primitive screwheads <3 :D

This is what this sort of thing costs in the current market. This isn't 1998 where everyone and their mother was lining up at Circuit City and Babbage's (remember those places?) to buy flight sim themed games. ED has the benefit of having a development team in a part of the world where payscales aren't inflated like they are in the US metro areas, and they have the benefit of having a group of highly qualified people testing it for free (We have at least one tester with over 2,000 flight hours in military aircraft).

When I fly for real it costs me over 100 USD for less than two hours of flight time. I can play any of ED's high fidelity representations of highly advanced aircraft that I'll probably never have a chance to log time in for real for a one-time fee. It's really not that bad when you look at it from that perspective.

I realize the ongoing changes to the game plan has been frustrating for many people, as well as the recurring need to purchase additional modules and games. However, there really isn't much of a choice here. Nobody can be asked to work for free--you will all benefit from this in the long run.

Cheers for reading guys, but please don't turn this into another SU25 thread, while yes, i will admit it was reading that thread that annoyed me, This has been going on long before the Toad turned up. Every announcement it seems, Ed seems to get shot at, It's like they can't do anything right. Yes I know this is human nature, and I'm well aware that it will never stop. Im also aware it does pretty much happen to every developer.

All I want to do is let Ed know we do appreciate them. :)

Now, when you put it like this... you are damn right...

Thanks for the perspective Cowboy!!! Somehow I lost it, being part of those unhappy little naggers...

So, thanks Eagle Dynamics for making this scarse software/videogame/simulation genre, you people trully are the stream of life in a wasteland... :cheer3nc:

I absolutely agree with Cowboy...

The DCS World core is a fantastic idea and more fantastic pieces of software are coming or are already in beta release.

And the Su-25T is lovely with the right mods... But, it should be made more clear by ED that the Su-25 without the HD textures mod does not showcase DCS quality.

Good job stating that opinion politely! That is how it should be done.

One day maybe a free, fully-simulated module could eventually be made, of a fairly simple aircraft. Maybe DCS: An-2 Colt? :D

Yea, that would be good. If you only have DCS: An-2 Colt, then you are forced to fly supply flights for the new dynamic supply system announced for FC3. Say RIPTIDE spams so many AMRAAMs that Krymsk runs out of them. It would now be your job, as an An-2 pilot who didn't buy any actual modules, to fly in some new ones for him from the regional AMRAAM distribution center at Mozdok :)

I think that TurboHog wants to tell that it could be much more appealing to new users when ED would have implemented this.

I don't read this as a big critic. - so no need to get personal - even if you made a very mild attack:

Your not serious are you...

Agreed, but even to suggest that..is not fair after all this is still in the " Beta " stage..so to judge on a not so fully modded Model..is not fair of ED/DCS

We don't know what is going on in the office of design..they just might be making the finishing touches to the " Cadillac " and now gonna work on the Su25t...its possible right....thank you....

In any case ED/DCS have taken their particular sim to a whole greater level than the others..and now forcing them to step up their game plan...

Really well said cowboy! People that complain should look back to where the sim-community was 5-10 years ago! I fully trust in ED that they will open up an even greater world for us virtual pilots the time ahead! :)
