112th_Rossi Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 This has probably been asked for before. It would be neat if we could have civilian AI aircraft we can place on the map. There a few commercial airports dotted around the map so it would be quite cool to add aircraft parked at the gates. And there could be some cool ideas for missions involving civilian traffic, ranging from long haul jets to perhaps even microlights. :)

Agg Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Its been mentioned before, and I agree, it would be very nice to have civilian ai aircraft in DCS. Especially when the Nevada scenery is released, the current ATC would'nt work though...
[FD]Ripper Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 (edited) I also agree ... it would attract a lot of fsx and xplane ! Edited June 4, 2012 by =AN=Ripper
Blaze Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I was always for this idea. Even just as AI air traffic to go with the civilian vehicle traffic, having a populated airspace would add so much more immersion. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. You can want it, you can ask for it, but you don't automatically deserve it. "
Gary Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Civil aircraft - at the appropriate airports would be a huge help for immersion. To also have it incorporated into the ATC (or more accurately the player having to use civil ATC at these airports) would be even better imo. I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1
ellutscho Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 +1 would be nice to have at least an 737 which is in service by many airlines. So in Ukraine International Airlines, Georgian Airways, Aeroflot, United Airlines etc. Fractal Define R6 | Maximus XI Hero | i7-9700K@5.1GHz | GTX 2080 Ti | 32GB DDR4@3200MHz | SSD M.2 1TB | VG248QE | TM Hotas Warthog | TrackIR4 DCS F-5E | MiG-21 | A-10C | FC3 | NTTR | F/A-18C [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I have a dream, but no one wants to hear it, the wall is great, PM me if you want to know more but get ready for 1000 word explanation :smilewink: My other option is............. http://freefalcon.org/topic/8416732/ Its really sad, I see so many gents posting the same things month by month in different ways. It would be awesome to have this with civilian and cargo aircraft already in DCS. Also multiple coalitions, not just red/blue...but thats another topic :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
LNR212 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 +1 for civ. Aircraft (AI and flyable!) My hope is with DCS 2 and EDGE with the coming SDK for third parties like Carenado which already have high quality models and "just" have to transform them into DCS. (if this is possible - i'm no programmer :smilewink: ) Hope dies last... so i'm still hoping for Cessna Caravan, KingAir 200,... at least in military version. And maybe a "simple" (but good looking) whole-world-map like in X-Plane with the possibility to install add ons like Caucasus, NTTR and so on... ... just dreamin' :pilotfly:

Especially with a good ATC. HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled. DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!. Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.
