Civilian Aircraft

This has probably been asked for before.

 

It would be neat if we could have civilian AI aircraft we can place on the map. There a few commercial airports dotted around the map so it would be quite cool to add aircraft parked at the gates.

 

And there could be some cool ideas for missions involving civilian traffic, ranging from long haul jets to perhaps even microlights. :)

Its been mentioned before, and I agree, it would be very nice to have civilian ai aircraft in DCS. Especially when the Nevada scenery is released, the current ATC would'nt work though...

I was always for this idea. Even just as AI air traffic to go with the civilian vehicle traffic, having a populated airspace would add so much more immersion.

Civil aircraft - at the appropriate airports would be a huge help for immersion.

To also have it incorporated into the ATC (or more accurately the player having to use civil ATC at these airports) would be even better imo.

would be nice to have at least an 737 which is in service by many airlines.

So in Ukraine International Airlines, Georgian Airways, Aeroflot, United Airlines etc.

I have been thinking this also for a while, same way they have civilian vehicle traffic that can be toggled on (at low, mid, high densities) and off. It would be awesome to have this with civilian and cargo aircraft already in DCS.

 

Also multiple coalitions, not just red/blue...but thats another topic :P

+1 for civ. Aircraft (AI and flyable!) :thumbup:

 

My hope is with DCS 2 and EDGE with the coming SDK for third parties like Carenado which already have high quality models and "just" have to transform them into DCS. (if this is possible - i'm no programmer :smilewink: )

Hope dies last... so i'm still hoping for Cessna Caravan, KingAir 200,... at least in military version.

 

And maybe a "simple" (but good looking) whole-world-map like in X-Plane with the possibility to install add ons like Caucasus, NTTR and so on...

This is a great idea!

Especially with a good ATC.
