I dont think I am finished yet,
:megalol: :lol::lol::lol:

this has been my mantra for well over a year now. You get one thing sorted and another idea occurs to you, so back to the man-cave.........and now there's 300 new planes coming and ground units!! I may as well move into the man-cave now and let the better half move on with her life................

Looks good though BIGNEWY

I want to use mfd's, ufc / key pad, and a caution panel, this ofcourse will take time and money.

MFD's arrived today :)

IMG_1755.JPG

made a school boy error and put them on the wrong sides initially lol.

Now each panel is in place I will work on making the facia panels look nice.

Saving now for a new GPU and a 8inch screen for the left mfd

I might buy 3 24" monitors when I get back, but still kicking the idea around. 3 monitors vs 1 bigger one.

I would recommend a 3 screen setup, obviously a wide view is great and having them in portrait gives you a view down always so instruments can be seen and you get a better view on attack runs :)

24" setup like this would be awesome

The lcd will be running from a Arduino UNO,

the LCD is a sainsmart 16x2

initially it will just run as a novelty i.e cpu temp, weather report, gpu temp, fan speeds and so on, but eventually I will export the relevant DCS data to it, just need to learn that side of it, and a few on the forums are also working on that side of things.

Working on my facia's today, I will post up some pics once I am done

Pics of my facia's fitted today

based on blue pits ( as it was the only paint I had lying around from painting my sons room lol )

left to right

toggle panel, left mfd, UFC, right mfd, caution panel ( will be done via helios on my 15" screen )

IMG_1768.JPG

everything done on a very tight budget, saving next for a 8 inch screen for left mfd and new GPU so I can run my mfd's from a second card.

IMG_1763.JPG

next job will be painting the top where my mouse and keyboard sits :)

I'm thinking I may give that a try. Right now I have 4 monitors 26", 24", 19" and a 15 inch. I use the 26 and 19 for BMS which works out good. haven't tried anything in DCS yet, will when I get back. Also, hopefully the price on thin bezel monitors drop.

What is the overall dimension of your 3 screens (left to right and top to bottom)? It looks a bit small in the pics and I am trying to get a feel for it.

Thanks.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant in inches/cm not pixels. I am curious about the physical size.

w 33" x h 17" :) in total for the three at the top

Thanks, I was trying to get a feel for the overall size compared to my 27" which is about 25" x 15" @ 2560x1440. I have a 22" touch screen for helios as well.

I've been toying with the idea of a three screen dedicated flight setup somewhere along the line and I hadn't considered the portrait option.
