john_X Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 (edited) my 3D projects for the next period are the next jets. i have a lot o f work to do still, but these are some little teasers. the F-16 is now based on blueprints by General Dynamics and it's very accurate. the superhornet is still at the level of studying the shape so it'll take longer to finish it. i'm making these for dcs and i'm looking for someone to make 3d working cockpits for them, or at least to animate my 3d cockpits, because i don't know how to do it. Sceptre Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Great work John! I can't wait to see the Superhornet in DCS! Oh yeah almost forgot, what software do you use? I have your F-16A for FC2 and it's awesome! RTX 2070 8GB | 32GB DDR4 2666 RAM | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.2Ghz | Asrock X570 | CH Fighterstick/Pro Throttle | TM MFDs | TrackIR 5
Kuky Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Considering 3rd party is already working on F-16 and F-18 why don't you work on that J-22 you started long time ago and finish it and get it for DCS? john_X Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 @kuky- the orao will be finished after both of these are finished. that's the order i have in my mind. and if you're wondering why i didn't release the orao yet, is because i modified the shape continuously to make it be perfect. and you'll agree with me at the time of the release. about the F-16 and superhornet now, after releasing my old fc2 F-16 i realised that i made a mistake by not detaling it very much. you'll see a very big difference at my future releases, and i am very decided on this. SiThSpawn answered very well to your question, i believe my F-16 and superhornet will be the best models for dcs. i've seen the other models of everyone and i'm very confident in this. and to make yourself an idea, even it may look like praise, the F-16 i'm working on is already better than ED's, the renders above are older, i'm far from that stage. @Sceptre, i'm using 3D max 2009.
ED Team NineLine Posted June 19, 2012 ED Team Posted June 19, 2012 Great attitude, nothing wrong with multiple planes being done, who knows who will complete theirs if at all, not to mention both F-18 and F-16 dont have their own "official" sections yet, so its possible they are on a "wait and see" type of license (or perhaps have not received a 3rd party licenses at all, dont know how it all works)... Anyways, keep up the good work, models look pretty good so far... Cant wait to fly either of those in DCS World. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Blaze Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Yep, and I'll be the first to say John's F-16 is 1000 times more accurate than VTAI's external model for sure. john_X Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Yes, any luck finding help with the cockpits? no, and i can make only one cokpit only for one of the versions. the rest of them, i don't know..
john_X Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) updates... now it's the time to decide what direction should i follow, i mean which is going to be the first F-16 variant? Because ED has a block 40 this variant is excluded. It's up to you guys to come with proposals and you can take into account the double seater versions too, like SUFA. I'm in vacation so i can dedicate my free time to this first detailed F-16 mod of mine. Edited January 23, 2018 by john_X

john_X Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Thank you guys! @aaron, i'm not sure which part you are meaning. anyway, in few days i'll put some new renders: top, front and side views, this way we can figure it out.
