Would be desirable a wide area of operations, for example the entire Mediterranean,from Gibraltar strait to Israel,implementing major Naval bases,ports, airports and cities.

At least complex US Carrier Battle Groups,able to manage detailed CVNs+its Air Wing, Scorts,replenishment units so as SSNs.

In this event,would be quite interesting not just having 3d naval air platforms but also to operate in its full dimension complex Navy vessels.

Expansions could follow implementing other theatres, more Navies so as other air platforms.

For my part, I'm wishing the same thing.

 

What you guy say is true, but damn there are plenty of threads stating all that ad naseum. It does seem like that Nevada terrain with the EDGE is a bit of a bottleneck for 3rd parties interested in doing other corners of the world. But in the meantime, at least we have our wishlist forum, right?

I honestly think the current map would be near perfect with the Ukraine airbases from LOMAC returned to the sim and the addition of airbases in Turkey. It would be easier (I think) than creating a whole new map.

Any chance by DCS Team to split into 2 development branches? One concentrated into ALL concerning Air stuff, and another one focusing into pure Naval environment development?

I think in the future ED start a naval branch with other project finish them. The ED naval brach can need a resource manager more big of ground or sea branches.

Navy ships would be cool, but IMO it would require a lot of participation by different people in order to coordinate a combat effective ship.

 

Back on topic, I would like to see a primarily naval based map somewhere down the line. It could be interesting to see how it would work with small island nations and naval bases. Maybe Hawaii, or the Ring of Fire?

I agree that the Med would be outstanding! On the flipside, a very large area with MANY cities, countries, and varied terrain. Nevada has taken so long, already, and it is one city and a dessert. Although I would love to see the Med, Maybe something a wee bit smaller, like say The Falklands? Maybe San Clemente and San Diego? Cuba and some of Latin America? I do like the Med Idea though!

Nevada is hardly just "One city and a desert". However it would be nice to have say, a map of Japan where there literally is one GIANT city.
