pepin1234 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 So... how did you arrive at this? No, talking to your friends and squadron does not count. ;) If you believe you know the answer better than those that analyze market data for a living, I'm curious to see exactly how you reached the conclusion. :) How is the question of a cockpit (which is the one difference here, really) relevant to the combat experience? And yes, some customers will not get what they actually wanted, it is absolutely impossible to please everyone. That's just a fact of life. Fortunately however, if you don't feel it's worth the money for your own particular tastes, you are not forced to purchase the product. You won't lose anything of what you have. OOOHHH yes. The best analyze market we could make is flying in MP. You can see how popular they are. And of course I am not talking about how you feel in combat with a 3D cockpit, with shadows etc... I am sure you got the idea, but if you are a tester and you give this answer, it is normal we receive the FC3 like that... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Dejjvid Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I'm 100% sure ED would love to skip FC3 and release all aircrafts as full featured DCS titles. But then there's a thing some people call reality. That reality do not allow humans to clone themselves. And who knows, the fighter we're all waiting for might be a Su-27 or Mig-29... :) i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]

EtherealN Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 yes it is. Look how many people are upset with all that. what else you like... Pepin, do you realize that not even 1% of ED customers actually fly online? Most people that fly simulators are SP-focused. "Flying MP" and taking numbers from that is a bit like taking a trip round the winter palace dining room in 1917 and deciding that "as we can see, support for the Tzar is overwhelming"... ;) If you want to use a very small subset of a population (be they "residents of country X" or "players of game Y") towards figuring out the general attitudes of the whole population, you need to apply controls to make sure that your cohort is actually representative, not viable to errors through chance, confirmation bias in the reporter, etcetera etcetera. oniellnz Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Thanks Eagle Dynamics for continuing a genre that has dwindled in the past ten years. I have been flight simming for 30 years, and have been spoilt by some very good sims. For me Tornado, F-22 Total Air War and the original Gunship are my benchmarks. They may not of had the best flight dynamics, and defiantly not the best graphics, but they are fun (yes still fun) and offer a challenge in their campaigns and systems. That was 20 years ago, and we have moved on, mostly with lookalike FPS and RPGs, which sell LOTS. Most of the big players are in it for the money, and any developer that gets sucked in to one of these corporates gets all the creativity and time kicked out on them. Basically the big boys will only sell arcade games with pretty graphics to appease the masses, that includes arcade flight games. :joystick: Eagle dynamics is taking a solid Idea (one world with a number of platforms to fly / drive) and starting to make it work. By taking FC2 and making it a modal immediately gives you 8 extra aircraft to flight and fight in for a very good price. The work required to move a stand alone product (FC3) and put it into a system that can run anything, is a lot. If we want to keep having combat flight sims for jet aircraft, Eagle Dynamics is now pretty much it. As for balance when FC3 aircraft get in the mix with the A-10C etc, Get over it. This is a sim, not a game. Real life doesn't have balance. I will be Getting FC3, and here New Zealand, even with the exchange rate, FC3 is still cheaper than going to the movies! :pilotfly: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Shaken, stirred, snap frozen - twice, turned into a snowman and shaken some more.

Not following you either Pilotasso. 10000 copies sold. 3000 registered on forums. 2300(ish) multiplayers. I have no clue about any of these figures, it's an example. With regards to multiplayer/singleplayer is it really unreasonable to accept that an aircraft which gets flown by most online is going to receive similair attention offline.
