britgliderpilot
Erm . . . . I don't know the background to this, but a banning for two failed launches of an R27EA (in itself not a hugely lethal missile) sounds a bit of overreaction to me. Was the player warned 'n stuff beforehand? Any mitigating circumstances, or a repeating offender despite warnings? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg

Ice
hhmmm why did mission classification got out by the patch? here is why. We have to live with this. Although GG did promise to give us a tutorial on how to limit loads in mulitplayer. He says its an easy fix.
504 Wolverine
With the Su-25T, if anyone were to loadout any illegal weapons they are automatically removed at the start of a mission. Could this not be implemented for the other flyables? say in 1.2 perhaps.
bSr.LCsta
Erm . . . . I don't know the background to this, but a banning for two failed launches of an R27EA (in itself not a hugely lethal missile) sounds a bit of overreaction to me. Was the player warned 'n stuff beforehand? Any mitigating circumstances, or a repeating offender despite warnings? WTF? They didn't accidentally appear on the plane. This is blaitant cheating, and complete BS. Not even from a new guy either!!! I'm sure the rational is that "They can cary them IRL", or "The eagles are too good so I need some better missiles to make it fair", but the bottom line is that if you are going to play on-line, ON SOMEONE ELSE's SERVER none the less, you HAVE to follow the rules!!! People spend alot of time practicing good tactics and learning about their enemies capablities. ex: If I am in a head to head BVR engagement with a bandit known to be a SU, and he fires at a BVR range, I know that this is a SAR missile and take the appropriate actions. I know if he loses lock and turns tail that I've got him and there is no chance of that SAR hitting me as I persue.........Now take the same scenario with someone carrying a AR missile on that SU, and at the very least I am evasive wondering where the hell the other bandit is!!! It's not that the R-27EA is a super missile, but it is not something that should be expected on the battlefield and therefor provides an unfair advantage....aka CHEATING. learn to fly instead of ruining it for the small online community we have. is this ok? 504 Wolverine
R-27AE didn't even get past prototype stage IRL. Politics killed it off.
504MrWolf
Vosxod is a tool ! I watched him on the 504 server spamming/mad dogging and vulching, he killed me twice as i climbed outta my base ! I couldnt even reach WP1.......i cant dodge AIM120 in a fully laiden Frog and dumping my weapons to do so is a waste of my evening. I appreciate that we are all targets but to hang around a base shooting down and wait for respawn is just lame. Hes a tool and i will continue to kick/ban his ass too. 1 www.VVS504.co.uk www.lockonskins.co.uk

GGTharos
Gah, I've been somewhat swamped, so I'll give you at least something that you can start with ... JJ, feel free to jump in here any time. OKay Ice... When you open the meinit file, you will find a bunch of section in it - I don't have a handy meinit editor, but if you open it with explorer for example, and authorise the activex, you'll be able to see the structure much better. You need to drill down to units/planes/pylons. Find the plane you need to edit, and remove the weapons you don't want to be present from the pylons. Just delete the entire pylon section for that weapon, or comment it out (not sure if commenting works). Note that this may be a little extreme in some cases, and you may prefer to merely delete payloads from the payload section, but that can -probably- be gotten around with the custom meinit that each client has. That is -essentially- all there is to it. Ping me if more detailed help is needed - good lick, and please make sure to back up your meinit. GGTharos
LOPE isn't very compatible with 1.11's meinit since some of the stuff in there changed. Otherwise, yes. SwingKid
How did those weapons get on there in the first place if the server's MEInit is being "forced down" to the clients? I don't see how editing the server's MEInit is going to make any difference, it doesn't look like it's being sent at all. Was this a classified mission? -SK
GGTharos
The client's payload is checked against the meinit WHEN the mission is classified. If it isn't classified, this check does not happen. S77th-Dante
the file will probably never be 'forced' down as it is its 1.7mb i can hardly see that as being practicle. lomacleague mod 1.11b will be out shortly & it will include cheat detterant mesures once again. GGTharos
By 'forced' down I mean the client's payload is uploaded to the server and checked, then status is returned to the client. Pilotasso
This should be donne in a way that when new players come in they wont mess up the connectivity of the whole game already on. Maulkin
Just a question, I am not trying to defend the offender or anything, but if the F-15's are using AR missles why cant the Su-27/33? I mean, I have been on servers where the Su-25T's are not allowed to use ARM's because the A-10's cannot, and I understand it is to keep it fair, but why this imbalance. Keep in mind fellas I am fairly new to the online thing, so I dont really know all the in's and out's that go with it. I am also not very knowledgable about the comparitive strenght of the aircraft and their weapons. I am asking because I don't know. --Maulkin Windows 10 64-bit - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 3.7 GHz - 32 GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM - EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 - Asus Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard - Samsung EVO Pro 1 TB SSD - TrackIR 4 Pro - Thrustmaster Warthog - Saitek rudder pedals - Lilliput UM-80/C with TM Cougars

GGTharos
Because the 27/33 modelled in the game has no ARH missiles in inventory ... at all! As for the 25T's, this is specifically to prevent SAMs being taken out when they shouldn't be. Now that SAMs can defend themselves things are a little different. Pilotasso
But I think since 1.1 this missile (R27EA) is useless like the R27ER/EM is. Not useless. If you fail to time the AIM-120 launches YOUR TOAST. I had successully engaged F-15's with a mig loaded with R-27ET's with the R-77's racks occupied by bombs! ED Team Chizh Posted October 31, 2005 ED Team Share Posted October 31, 2005 One remark. We specially decreased performance of illegal R-27AE. It missile has maximum G-Force at 1 (one). Therefore it missile can't hit any target with this limitation. If he want he can use its missiles but anyway he remain without kills. ;) Единственный урок, который можно извлечь из истории, состоит в том, что люди не извлекают из истории никаких уроков.
