Teknetinium
Why dose AIM-7 guide better and have better chaff resistance then ER/R-27 in DCS? Edited October 30, 2019 by Teknetinium 51st PVO Discord SATAC YouTube
DronneR
Why dose AIM-7 guide better and have better chaff resistance then ER/R-27 in DCS? Because it is equipped with onboard computer, while R-27 doesn't? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ED Team Chizh Posted October 31, 2019 Author ED Team Share Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) Why dose AIM-7 guide better and have better chaff resistance then ER/R-27 in DCS? This is not a true statement. AIM-7MH has a little bit better countermeasures resistance then R-27R/ER. AIM-7M has same countermeasures resistance. AIM-7F has a worst countermeasures resistence. UPDATE Yes, you are right. Looks like something broken in the AIM-7. It very resistant to countermeasures. Will cheking. ZMEY-HS-
AIM-7M has same countermeasures resistance. Edited October 31, 2019 by ZMEY-HS-

ZMEY-HS-

Dont agree, F-18 fly with 40Gs + for over two years, while Su-33 break wings for 4 years now. Same problem as Su-27 had as the PFM was implemented, There is no data that say ER-27 is hitting around 13% in RL. There is evidence that ET dose even better, round 50%. Yes, I do believe your judgment is bias, same regarding EOS ranges with no gate. DronneR
There is no data that say ER-27 is hitting around 13% in RL Ethiopian-Eriterian conflict, Balkhash lake excercises in 1986. Actually, it is quite a reasonable figure, given the fact that seeker electronics of R-27 are quite on the same technology level as AIM-7F. It has more progressive guidance method, though, so it has better ECM, as in the game. There is evidence that ET dose even better, round 50% There is no evidence. Moreover, it is unrealistic number for such a primitive missile. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Su-33 has destruction G-load about 13,5G in real and in DCS. F/A-18C in the early access stage and not done yet. Same problem as Su-27 had as the PFM was implemented, What "same problem"? There is no data that say ER-27 is hitting around 13% in RL. During Ethiopia-Eritrea conflict, the R-27R showed efficiency near zero. There is evidence that ET dose even better, round 50%. Could you show your evidence? Yes, I do believe your judgment is bias, same regarding EOS ranges with no gate. You have the right to your opinion. Where do you have data on that EOS cant lock a target with no gate over 10km? 73 seeker dose better :) Could you give an example? What target, what aspect, what altitude, what engine mode? GGTharos
Where do you have data on that EOS cant lock a target with no gate over 10km? 73 seeker dose better :) You can actually calculate this - and you can find the required math with a bit of googling if you know what you're looking for ... it's not difficult math, either. I did this stuff years ago and ED is using similar math, as well as data from manufacturer. GGTharos
There is no evidence. Moreover, it is unrealistic number for such a primitive missile. IRL IR missiles usually have very high Pk because they are launched in situations that combine short flight time with lack of detection by the target. ААК
По прочтении ветки вспомнилось :D Ethiopian-Eriterian conflict, Balkhash lake excercises in 1986.
DronneR
Edited October 31, 2019 by DronneR [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
