Hi Zahry

My extension arrived today. but as per many other posts on this thread the stick simply will not connect to the top socket. I am not in the business of cannibalising something that I have just paid £64.00 for, as so many others seem to be prepared to do. Do you not check that the connectors work before dispatch,as this seems to be an ongoing problem. What do you suggest that I do now? I still require an extension, but don't want to damage my stick.

Hi Zahry

Just examined the top connection in detail. The small rectangular plastic guide in the center of the male stick connector is centrally placed, whereas the hole in the female section of your extension is quite offset from center. No wonder it won't connect. My stick is one of the early ones. Has the connector changed?

Mine has not arrived yet. I orded on 4th August. Could of course be, that it's stuck at customs office. Atleast that wouldn't surprise me, because our customs has been exceptionally lazy, annoying and incapable in the past.

 

I hope it will arrive soon and that i won't have these kind of problems with the connector.

Hi Tonym, it must have slipped through - this is the only thing I can't test with my joystick and it won't show when I connect the extension to my handle as I don't have the plastic bit there (it broke off ages ago). My sincere apologies - if you want you can either send the extension back and I'll replace/repair it asap or I can talk you through the process how to extend the hole (if there will be some problem during the process I will fix it for you or replace the cable). It just needs 1,5mm drill bit, electric drill and either use the drill as a miniature router (make sure you don't apply too much pressure otherwise you break the drill bit) or you can slowly drill the hole (that's my preferred way of doing it). if you'll run into problems PM me or send me an email.

Hi Matt, getting something from A to B is sometimes quite frustrating. The extension should show up soon - I'm sending everything as a gift and marked as a replacement part so fingers crossed it will be going through customs without too many delays (I've checked some tracked items before and in some instances customs were holding the extensions from one week up to two months - hope it won't happen again). If you wont get the extension by the next week let me know

Bit of a mix up, I have been corresponding with Tomas via e-mail & come to the same conclusion re extending the slot. This is now done & all working OK. I have been impressed with the response to the problem & wish that all manufacturers had the same level of concern & assistance.

Matt, FYI, when I was sending things from NZ to Germany it was always slow, the German customs were always holding things up.

 

I sent one thing and after four weeks sent a replacement only to have them both show up at about the same time.

 

Since then I just told my German customers to wait, they will come..

I do not really need the extension in my obutto r3volution, but I'd be interestet in the "offset" ability, as I have a center stick mount in use.

 

I am interested in a very short "extension" (an adapter rather) with the ability to offest the stick by 15 degrees, as it is in the real A-10C cockpit. Ideally it should even be adjustable from 0-20 degrees.

 

Any suggestions? Will this MOD do it for me?

JaBoG32_Prinzartus - yes I can make 5 cm long extension - you can change the offset to suit your preferences.

Hi Zahry, thanks for the info. I really hope it will turn up sometime in the next weeks or so. I don't want you to send a replacement or anything, it's my fault to not order with tracking, so i'll just have to be patient (can be hard though :joystick:) and hope for the best.

 

Maybe our stupid customs guys are still trying to figure out where the New Zealand is. I'll definately tell them something when i pick it up and it was stuck there for weeks.

Hi MattM, no worries, couriers and postal services are as bad here - if it won't arrive send me a statement for NZ Post declaring you haven't got it and I'll send you replacement. Just had few tracked ones to Germany and it was stacked on customs for about a week. On tracking was notification that it cleared customs and that they attempted delivery but in reality they didn't even sent the customs request until 3-4 days after they marked it on online tracking as attempted delivery. I would say it is still on customs. Let me know once you'll have some news.

Hi zahry, my extension has finally arrived today. August 19th as shipping date, so i guess it didn't take that long after all.

 

EDIT: The connector was wrong on my extension aswell (same as tonym), but i fixed that.

hi everyone. looks like in past few weeks the couriers are working on and off - if you got package coming and it hasn't arrived yet please contact me asap so I can start chasing it up. Recently there were some problems with packages heading to US and Germany - hope it is isolated thing and it won't be happening very often.
