Now that we get an English cockpit, it would be nice if ED would update the manual to use the English labels, in addition to the Russian ones.

Buttons and knobs are still in the same place... Seems like a waste of resources to me.

Sure, they should focus on fixing the bugs of the existing software.

But it isn't exactly user friendly - and I must admit that I thought manuals should just convey that... ;-)

Please fix the KA-50 bugs :-)

I know this is an Old Thread but it appears to be a Current Topic (at least for me).

IS there a fully English Manual that corresponds to the English Cockpit ?

If so, where can I find it ?

I'm not having any luck looking so far.

I am glad you asked I was wondering the same, it would certainly be nice to have.

I wouldn't mind sending an updated BS2 with English cockpit updates to Lulu to get a printed hard copy...

The situation is still the same as it was back in Jan, 2013.

I don't see the point...

Would someone care to explain how a manual referencing English buttons would help them? The manual is written in english. It uses the English terms... for example "Desired Heading" vs "Desired Track" and explains what they do and where the toggle is.

I don't understand.

It's easy.

The point is, it would be nice to have an English Manual that corresponds with the English Cockpit Buttons.

Rather than having symbols and letters referenced that don't exist in the English Cockpit.

Currently the English Manual shows button labels that we don't have in the English Cockpit.

I'm sure this would consistent with All Languages.

If you have a Chinese Cockpit, I'm sure you'd want All Chinese Manual that references Chinese in the Cockpit.

I honestly wish I could read, write and speak Russian ... but I can't.

Please keep in mind that when the manual was written, there was only one cockpit language. An enterprising forum member created an English cockpit (which still contains a couple of errors, but nothing egregious) and ED asked for and received permission to include the user-created English-modded cockpit with the game. Until that point, I don't believe that ED was even working on an English cockpit for the Ka-50, so naturally, their manual includes no references to it.

I seriously doubt that ED is even considering updating the manual with alternative-language cockpit images, but perhaps it's possible for someone to receive permission to modify and distribute the current manual with modified cockpit pictures (I would guess that this may have already happened in some individual cases). I think that's the best option we have, but that's just my opinion.

The English Cockpit exists since BS1. And could always been switched via the Options.

So i do not think they will make a new manual.

Thanks everyone.

It's no big deal. I just though "IF" there was an All-English Manual, I'd like to have it.

I have and will continue to make due with the current manual.
