JG14_Smil Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 FPS are definitely worse in 1.2.4 but I am getting framerates similar to yours with my 6400x1920 setup.
djwave Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Solved, were the mirrors that I was down the performance. I have not needed to change hard drives or psu LOL. Now i have all details high + sliders to max with three monitors with 38 frames all the time, included all cockpit lights turned on, without OC in titan. Fiuuuuuu.... SkateZilla Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 (edited) Here's a question for Everyone with High End GPU/Intel CPUs havign FPS Issues. What's your MMIO Align Setting in your BIOS? (pretty sure it's called something else on AMD Boards, will verify tonight when I get home) Edit: AMD it's Called IOMMU, but im not sure if it has the same options as Intel Chipsets. The cpu is more important than the graphics in that software. Wolf Rider Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I dont think DCS is more demanding game than crisys 3 my friend. I was curious as to what the fps result was for the single monitor test, with DCS, you did with regard to your listed system specs. Are all those reporting choppiness installed the Huey addon? SkateZilla Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 well, Now I get a HUGE drop (from my Locked 30) to below 10. whenever there is smoke from Missiles, chimneys, explosions... anything. Slazi Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 ..,the load on the gpu are higher in crisys 3 than in dcs A10C. The cpu is more important than the graphics in that software. You mean the gpu not the cpu in the second sentence right? The smoke does seem to be causing incredible frame rate hits in DCS right now, there's obviously something very wrong somewhere. I went from 80fps down to three after firing a salvo of rockets from my shark this morning.
Wayc00lio Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Here's a question for Everyone with High End GPU/Intel CPUs havign FPS Issues. What's your MMIO Align Setting in your BIOS is this important? What should it be and can you provide a link of suggested settings? SkateZilla Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 is this important? What should it be and can you provide a link of suggested settings? Depends on your Windows, I was just curious to see what people actually have it set at. The wrong setting makes a difference, as it controls how many I/O Memory Lanes the PCI-E Slots actually get. I think for 64-Bit it's supposed to be on 1024 Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

Paganus Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 In the options.lua file lights=2 is required for the Huey minigun tracers for 1.2.4.11855. A setting of 0 or 1 will result in a client crash as soon as the trigger is pulled.

msalama Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 anything. Some midair explosions cause my frames to drop now as well, plus the cluster munitions slideshow is still there. So its the good ol' 2 steps forwards, 1 back with the patches still it seems ;) The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Just want to remind, that in order to keep your mods to graphics.lua intact after updates and even after graphic options changes via the GUI, make your changes in the Saved Games\DCS\Config\autoexec.cfg file. Example autoexec.cfg lines: options.graphics.treesVisibility = 1500 options.graphics.sync = false Tech details: graphics.lua file is loaded into options.graphics Lua table. And after that, autoexec.cfg file is loaded. Thus, you can override graphics options with the autoexec.cfg file. well....is there some more information about this????i would really like to keep my current settins, cause right now the game runs smooth as silk for me...but i dont know how exactly this should work...first i dont even have this autoexec.cfg file...so i would need to create one(how?) second, what does this file have to contain so that all my settings keep safed? third, is it responsible only for the parameters in the graphics.lua, or will i be able to keep changes to the high.lua this way as well???mor info about this would be much appreciated!

Megagoth1702 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 msalama, thanks for your work on these. Can you provide some information on WHAT parameters you actually changed? I am that geeky, heh. But comparing file to file seems a bit overkill since I can just ask here? Thanks a lot in advance! msalama Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Can you provide some information on WHAT parameters you actually changed? Well basically I just rolled all tweaks I've ever seen into one package, including some old Lockon-era stuff which is outdated by now. But the tweaks mostly affect visibility ranges, with some particle FX density changes thrown in as well. HTH  The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Leonski Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Hiya - Please find attached my most recent FPS tweaks (see http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95469 for a previous discussion on this). Fly safe, M. EDIT: Also see the following as regards how I've configured my graphics chain for DCS, helps in reducing stuttering among other things: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=101079 EDIT 2: For v1.2.4 compatibility, use the attached graphics.lua instead of the original graphics.cfg and you should be good. Change the maxfps parameter to your liking however (I use 30 myself). EDIT 3: For best performance use Rider1's smoke files instead of the ones in my package: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1715708&postcount=138 Right, I did all this but nothing! All thought If in high settings and in low settings I got almost the same fps! In cockpit I have a 9-17 fps and out sight I got 20-34 fps.
