After I purchased LC3, the game game doesn't start anymore!

I bought a beta version and it was little bit buggy, but now, the release version works just fine, so don't worry guys! Everything will work. If it still won't work for some reason then just rename (to keep the old copy of it), or delete your "C:\users\YourName\Saved Games\DCS" folder. Be careful - it contains your custom mission files & replays, so if you need them then make a backup of that folder first.

2. The DCS MOVIE information!

4. REAL UFO FOOTAGE

I don't trust anything that bleeds for five days, and doesn't die

government: gives me money because of coronavirus

me: spends all money on the missing DCS modules

government: ... you dumbo! We won't give you money anymore

me: It's ok. I don't need anything else - I now have the entire DCS collection

my cat: looking at the empty bowl for a while and goes back to sleep

me: it's hard times, Mig, suck it up!

It doesn't start! I click on the link, launcher pops-up and then disappears. Nothing else happens! It just doesn't start! I CONFIRM I DIDN'T MODIFY ANY GAME CONTENTS. ONLY THING THAT HAS CHANGED IS THAT I BOUGHT A GAME. Help!

launcher popping up and disappearing with no error is usually a module/file/syntax error

Since you didnt mod anything, You prolly installed an newer/older version of FC3 on top of a newer/older version of DCSW.

goto/ EagleDyanics/DCS/mods/Aircraft/ and Move the Entire /Flaming Cliffs 3/ folder to the desktop and try again.

if it works, FC3 is the problem.

if not, put it back,

Boot

then goto /Saved Games/DCS/Logs and post the DCS.log info.

As was asked previously: when you say you purchased it, but didn't change anything else, does this mean that you did download and install the FC3 module, or was the purchase all you did?

This might be important towards figuring out what happened.

Did you remove the Saved Games/DCS Folder.

There should be a DCS.LOG in the /Saved Games/DCS/Logs Folder, even if it failed to get to the menu, it will tell you what files were processed in the time it ran.

We're already deep in the rabbithole. We can't go any deeper, too close to the planets core.

Deleting old settings to make software work does not have to be unusual after an upgrade. Settingscorruption seems to happen with many games, is often random and the fix is easy.

Almost sounds like the C++ thing. Insta close issue. But you say you have changed nothing.

You say you completely erased the game. What do you mean and how did you do it?

Some people believe in going through the Registry is the best, some use the add/remove programs in Control panel and some remove the folders.

But As You Wish Sir.

Alright, all flying hackers in the world, I've found the horrible solution - deleting c:\users\username\saved files\dcs will solve the problem but it is not a good solution. Can we dig into the problem deeper and find out together why the game were crashing? For the sake of progress of this beautiful game.

The only two files that were changed today in this folder are autoupdater.cache & logs\me.log

Remove it, then goto Start Button/All Program/Eagle Dynamics / DCS/ DCS_repair.

one of the files in your /Saved Game/DCS/ Folder is corrupted. it's Usually controller files in the /Input/ Folder.

You still never posted the Contents of the DCS.LOG file.

open in notepad,Copy and paste. Simple, Even if the Game only does the Black box, close, it's still gonna make a log, and list every file it processes.
