cichlidfan Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Remember, our (ED's) A-10C is not completely current, compared to reality, in the area of avionics updates. sobek Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 IIRC, at the suite that was modelled for DCS, only a handfull of A-10Cs in service had that new radio, so it wasn't included. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Tholozor Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 AN/ARC-210(V) according to paulrkiii. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1680463&postcount=27 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/
KLR Rico Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 The 210 has some extra features that would add extra complexity to model, and probably aren't public anyway; that might have contributed to their choice in using the radio they did. i5-4670K@4.5GHz / 16 GB RAM / SSD / GTX1080 Rift CV1 / G-seat / modded FFB HOTAS
Snoopy Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Is that a throttle cover too? Yup....we put it on before the pilot gets out of the jet and only remove it after they are in the seat...otherwise they like to kick off knobs/switches forcing us to spend hours in the pit looking for FOD> v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website

To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

Eddie Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Pah, ever seen a pliot manage to break a HUD getting into a jet? I have. Knocking brightness control knobs off MHDDs is a favourite as well. And buggering up data transfer cartridges by jamming them in the slot too hard/dropping them. Seriously, if there is a way for a seat/stick interface unit to break something, they'll find it. Someone needs to design a guard we can wrap around the pilot so they can't break stuff. 1
