I have been waiting patiently for a long time now for them to fix the DCS Black Shark 2 force feedback problem on the Logitech G940. Whenever I trim it KICKS to the left. This makes flying practically impossible. Any news on when this might be fixed?

Only bug that's annoying is the "crazy Shkval". Seems like it happen more frequently in the southern part of the map. Fixing this and the Ka-50 is "complete".

I'm sorry, but no, it isn't. The Shark has lost a bit of functionality (gauges/indicators not working anymore etc.) over the versions, and I for one would love to get all that back someday.

Which indicators have lost their functionality?

I ask this just for curiosity, I'm a quite new shark pilot.

I see that trimming has been fixed. Thank you for letting me know. Now I am going to have to buy another PC though because DCS is going to 64 bit only. I realize progress waits for no man but I am feeling a bit slapped in the face here. I can not play with the BS for months and now I get a message that I can not play at all with my current PC after a few months. Salt in the wound I tell you.

Why?

All you need to do is upgrade the OS, which is free last time I checked.

Omg. x64 is not a hype anymore. It's a standard. If you bought a computer the last 5 years you will have a x64 CPU already. Upgrade the OS and you're set.

Welcome to the future

My CPU does not support 64 bit. I have a Dell E520. I have actually already bought some parts (case and power supply). I get a lot of software free from my school (Windows 8, Windows 7, Microsoft Server 2008, Microsoft Server 2012, a bunch of things). The Dell I have has 2 1 terabyte hard drives so I am good there. I have a 1 gig GDDR3 graphics card. All I really need is a CPU, Motherboard, Optical Drive, and RAM.

Problem is I am unemployed and going to school rgiht now. It is hard to justify spending money at this time. And yes I know I need to upgrade.

I would also like to state that post I made before was actually supposed to be done in humor. I guess the humor did not translate well. I think if we knew each other on TS or something you would have known that was half intended as a joke.

I find that VERY hard to believe. I have no idea what spec your system is, but you haven't been able to buy a non-64 bit compatible CPU for so long, i simply can't believe a system running modern games won't have one.

According to what I can find, the e520 has a pentium 4 processor. Chances are it's not x64 capable. From 2004 I think Intel introduced the upgraded x86-x64 version of the pentium 4.

Everything I find on the dell e520 says its a core 2 duo. If a Pentium 4 is actually running DCS Ill be shocked and rather amazed actually.

service manual of the e520, lists multiple CPU's, among which P4 and C2D.

Quite correct, which is why I commented, 'There is' :)

Giving Quicksilver the benefit of the doubt as befits, he's probably running a Pentium 4. In any event, all this pernicketiness can be solved by a simple dxdiag :D

OK it seems you were correct. It does indeed support a 64 bit OS

However the argument is irrelevant as the motherboard will not support over 4 gigs of ram (I made sure this time).

At any rate I ordered new parts this morning.

My new rig will have i7-3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4 and 24 Gigs of Ram with Windows 7.
