That CDU looks very nice. Only the display is upside down, but I guess you noticed.

That's just to show my engineering skillz :) I also managed to loose a single button cap and placed all the dual rocker buttons upside down.

I'll gladly apologize with my orders of your products on day one. I'll also positively review them if they're worthy! Until then...

Sent while I should be working instead.

"Food for thought": All Cougar mods (EvenStrain, NN_DAM, UberNXT) use 4 springs, in the two first opposite in "X" and in the third in opposite in "V", 2 per axis, like in this "low tech" UberNXT based gimbal:

https://s15.postimg.org/c4ln18nej/Uber_MM.jpg

As it's a more "costly" system, 4 x 2 springs... was not used by joystick industry, but used in "joystick" for military simulators (High Rev Sim, now Bugeye):

How good this system really is?

In this DIY looks - ans seems work good:

Gives a impression that center is "soft".

But we there are no plans to release F18 module from ED (partners) anytime soon. So are people just wanting it for skin/mod use?

ED has very consistently, and rather recently stated that they still plan on releasing the F-18 in 2016. So seeing as the year is slowly coming to a close, that puts it's prospective release soon.

Sure, you might not believe that they'll come through on that, but there are indeed plans to release it soon. And I'm sure a lot of people want the hotas prior to the module being released for day one enjoyment.

No I get it. It'll get here when it will get here. Edge was delayed, Normandy is delayed, and they still have plans to update 2.0 etc. So they have their hands full. I guess I would wait until beta comes out. But I get it.

I was just curious.

i searched the thread, but couldn't find out, if the tracker is going to be a full tracking solution, or just a IR tracking clip for use with a webcam.

could someone enlighten me? :)

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that tv camera mount! Actually I'll probably still buy one seen as they're so cheap just to see how crap dcs plays compared to the CV1. But for those who can't afford VR one, this'll be a far better purchase than TrackIR. At least price wise, and hopefully perfomance wise too.

Of course there is that too. Especially if they have a full sim pit and multiple screens, I can see that - there's nothing like the actual touchy freely of switches. I know from my own experience with an almost full kinda replica A-10C pit which was my pride and joy for years. And Hegy will be doing full pits as well to satisfy those people which is excellent news too. There'll soon be something for everyone's needs.

Anyway, I'm not hijacking this thread with my own justification of my instant conversion to vr though so I'll leave it there.
