chimp Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Can you make your own bullseye on on map when flying thank you for help.:joystick:
Paganus Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 You can create watpoints but you can not create or move bullseye. It defeats its purpose.
chimp Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 Ok i knew about waypoints and that just wasent sure about the bullseye! thank you for the reply.

benargee Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 The bullseye can be changed, but only before the mission in the mission editor, the bullseye is a universal reference point that all units use to navigate covertly, changing its location during the mission is impossible and pointless, you can however change the anchor point as shagrat pointed out, bullseye is the default anchor point [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Call Sign: Pork Chop. intel I5 4670K @ 3.4GHz - GALAXY GTX 670 2GB @ 1080P - 16GB ( 2X8 ) Corsair DDR3 1600MHz - ASUS VG248QE 1080p ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VI HERO Mother Board - Samsung 840 Pro SSD 128GB(game/boot) - WD 640GB HDD 6.0GB/s - 750w Corsair Power Supply :yes:Trackir 5 w/ Tclip Pro - :joystick:TM HOTAS Warthog - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech G700s Mouse (edit:May19/14) http://wiki.benargee.com/
Nealius Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Changing bullseye position isn't necessarily pointless. I would imagine in real life operations it will change quite often so the enemy cannot get a hold of the information. Pure speculation on my part, though.

Bullseye woulndt be changed mid mission because you would be broadcasting the new bullseye coordinates that the enemy could intercept. bullseye is not an absolute position, it changes mission to mission. when using bullseye you never say a locations coordinates, only its bearing and distance from the bullseye, if the enemy doesnt know where the bullseye is, they wont know the location you are being referred to. Nealius Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Of course not mid-mission. I thought someone had mentioned that it was stupid to change it at all...
NhiTrac Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Of course not mid-mission. I thought someone had mentioned that it was stupid to change it at all... I think it was mentioned in "a10s over Kosovo" that the bullseye can change mid mission... Anyways I'm all new to bullseye references and was wondering if there's a quick method to immediately knowing the location of the bullseye call, or does one must enter it into the offset screen everytime? Is there a map where the cursor gives reference and distance from bullseye etc? How do you guys all do it? Thanks! Spectre_USA Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Myself, I just take a look at it in briefing, then figure how far out, and on what radial I will be operating in. Once I have that number, say compass 100 at 35 miles, Anything higher and in that direction, I start peering around outside, and on the RWR gauge. When I hear "merged," i generally panic... :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] A tale of 2 hogs

It's on the top left side of the screen. 1
wess24m Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Not a direct answer to the OP's question but you can also go into your waypoint cdu page, goto anchor point and turn on bulls eye on hud. IIRC in on the bottom left side of the anchor page. This gives you your bulls eye direction and distance in the top right of your hud, quick glance tells you where you are in relation to bulls.
