ENO Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Last couple times I had some people with this issue it turned out that I had them on my bantables in slmod and they weren't aware. In some cases these issues get sorted out and in others they don't. Anyway, Andy- if you just go in and play the sim and mind your manners that probably isn't the case. If you're rammy, then there's a good chance something else is at play. I can't speak for the recent patch (Firehouse is updated)... but I know the last one had been plagued with disconnects for many of our regulars (who know the basic problem solving routines). We post the logs over in the bug report forum but sadly don't get much feedback there. I noticed since my clean update I don't have the ping timeout and load timeout feature disabled in my config- so I'm wondering if that's playing up again... xcom Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 The DCS Israel server has been updated to the latest patch, you can try to connect there. btw, I've noticed that alot of people get thrown off if they disabled a module in the module manager, make sure that all the modules are enabled, at least all the ones that you bought and the ones that come as AI, for example the FW-190D9. If that still occures, run DCS Repair from the start menu folder, that usualy helps people solve the problem with integrity checks. ENO Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 They may have updated, but they may not have updated their mission portfolio. Everyone running a server needs to keep that in mind with each update. I'm not certain if it is what causes the numerous disconnects- but I'm quite certain it will play a role in a stable experience throughout. We used to have bad ghosting and the network would drop out of sync where people came in and saw things differently than those who were already in. They'd think people were still on the runway when they were 50nms away... fire a missile and it would show you on the runway firing a missile into the earth... weird, weird stuff. ENO Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 To add to the above- I updated yesterday and resaved the file as mentioned above. When people joined they couldn't get the app started... Even though aircraft were fueled in the ME, the aircraft that were chosen were empty of fuel. If you went back to spectator and returned to the aircraft it was fine but still couldn't get the API over 30%. I had to go back to the .miz and change it to a zip and remove everything but the mission file itself... Changed it back to .miz, then went back into the ME to adjust the warehouses etc that were affected by the removal of folders. Then the mission worked. I was also finding hat people who hadn't updated yet to the latest build could actually join the server but their ping was 4-500. This caused massive warping for everyone I was surprised that it would allow that. However- if people are experiencing disconnects there is a good chance you are not updated to the latest version and you are being kicked because of ping issues- probably from a server program like servman or slmod. The laging airplanes don't seem like a result of many players it will happend also with 2 or 3 players connected, I'm still trying to figure out what is causing this issue, The only change that has been made to this mission since 1.2.3 is the addition of the UH-1H and the addgroup script to add FW-190D9s. Could the addgroup script be making issues if the same group gets respawned time after time? kk0425 Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 I'm getting an odd crash on the 159th dedicated server. I join the server and it loads the mission but a few seconds after it goes to the screen where I select which slot I want, DCS crashes. I've tried updating, repairing, deleting MP tracks, and rebooting PC. So far it's just that server I'm having issues with. Mission name was Battle_for_Gagra_v3a. Had the same thing on the VA server, we shortened the mission restart and it solved it

In short Practice session: A ship completely invisible for one client, but visible for another client and the server. Some units only seen by the server computer, but those invisible units had no problems shooting a blinded client down. TACview track: Tacview-20130514-215730.txt.acmi.7z If you look at 04:41:55 you apparently get destroyed. But I clearly remember you still flying around at this point, but your Ka-50 is missing it's entire tail though. :doh: Anyhow if you have a look at the array of events happening at 04:56:19 (T-55 being hit by cannon fire), those shots are coming from your Ka-50, but your Ka-50 is invisible in TACview and where also destroyed according to TACview (and probably also the server?). Maybe this leads to some server f*ck up, for the lag of better words!? Anyways food for thought. /Krycek PS. Let's test to see if the latest update have fixed the issue with the invisible units soon mate. Did you also record a TACview track? I noted the phantomchopper did the following (and probably more afterwards): Guns being fired 04:42:43-04:44:00 towards Mi-28N (UKR Mi-28 #2.1) S-8's being fired 04:45:13-04:45:46 towards Mi-28N (UKR Mi-28 #1.1) Convoys being hit by weapons shells around 04:48:07. Mustang Posted May 15, 2013 Author Posted May 15, 2013 Ok - would you like the client tracks as well? No it's ok we should be (hopefully) able to mimic the bug in the testers build - 95% of time 1.2.4 tracks and the latest test builds are incompatible due to being a much newer version.

You actually don't have to have the program running, it just records tracks, when it is ticked in the TACView menu, but you might already know that :-) We should complete that mission soon. When I roll (not yaw) my head to right camera rolls left and vice versa. I thought it could be related with my headtrack (FreeTrack) software. But without touching FreeTrack, I quit multiplayer and entered DCS.exe and directly run a Instant Mission. Headtrack was working right. It was first time that I encountered like this problem. Also visible in first and third person view for the host of the game.
