[DCS: Huey] Device Scale in Higher Resolution (2048 px.)

Hi... Where to start?

 

I'm bored again.

 

Actually, I'm OK with Huey's cockpit graphics and resolution until Ricardo does better. But at first sight, I hated the digits on communication devices and the compass. Yea, I know this is beta version of DCS: Huey, and I'm sure Belsimtek would fix many things. But, as I said, I'm bored, had free time this morning and wanted to doubled the digits and letters.

 

So; This mod increases quality of the digits & letters (1024 px. to 2048 px.) that seen on the UHF Radio (and the Presets Part), VHF COMM Radio Set, FM COMM Radio Set, IFF (Transponder Set), VHF NAV-COMM Set, ADF Set, Magnetic Compass and Altimeter Indicator (AAU-32/A) devices.

 

This mod has no any effect on FPS or loading time.

 

There's two version: (Note: It can't be said that there are really huge differences between them. So, if you don't like 2048px version to locate larger place in your system's memory, you may choose 1024px version.)

2048 px. is what I aimed by making this mod. Double resolution of digits for better view.

1024 px. is the same resolution as original, but it has smoother and corrected view compared original one.

 

Install: Just drag and drop the "uh1_scales_c.tga.dds" file (from 1024px or 2048px folder - as you wish) directly into "../DCS World/Mods/aircrafts/Uh-1H/Cockpit/Resources/Model/Textures/UH-1H-CPT-TEXTURES.zip" file.

 

You may backup original dds or zip files. In any case you may find original dds file in backup folder of my mod.

Yes you have right because this awesome and incredible new addon "Huey" is always in Beta version and we are sure that Belsimtek will be fix these little bugs.

 

I don't know for you but I prefer flying with the Huey than the KA-50, for me this new addon (Huey Bell UH-1H) is THE greatest addon after the A-10C.

 

So I think that all the Mods that make most beautiful the Huey are welcome for me...

Just a little question about your new files, the quality 1024 px. to 2048 px is not too heavy to the final after the new Scratches mod V3.0 of Necroscope ?

 

I would like to thanks the team of Belsimtek and all the users (skiners and Moders) for your amazing Huey UH-1H.

After read your message, I prepared 1024px. version. Actually It's the same resolution as original. I've just got smoother view. And you know what; I see no huge differences between them in game.

 

So, I updated first post and added 1024px (memory-friendly) version. :)

That's a very nice improvement, just tried the 1024 version and it looks great! No noticeable impact on FPS.
