B-17s?

I'm curious to see how DCS will model a Spitfire. In most WW2 sims I've played its energy retention through hard maneuvers is more than remarkable, and ends up just becoming a beginner plane.

Yeah, an AI B17 for sure. Considering the number of knobs and switches and crew stations and assorted functions I doubt very much we ll ever see a player one.

 

Well if you're only considering DCS level fidelity as an option. A player controlled FC level seems reasonably likely, particularly without any working multi-human aircraft yet.

Of course it's going to take a lot of time.

 

The earliest we can expect is two weeks, but that doesn't always come true.

 

We are probably in for a very long wait, and things like these are not helping at all :)

Im not doing anything in regards to Spitfire Modules... just to clarify, I simply have A 3d Mesh in game. Possibly a future AI Addon Like the -109 if I have time to work on it, I have other priorities/commitments at this time.

DCS Spitfire would be awesome, a Spit IX preferably. I'm really enjoying EDs take on the Stang but I can't help wishing it was a Spitfire.

 

DCS Tempest would be my next wish, then Mosquito.... I do have doubts that Luthiers crew can turn out DCS P51 level of detail aircraft at more than a couple a year.

for some reason, I feel that Luthiers and crew will focus on the eastern front more then the west......I foresee a 109, a stuka, a IL-2, and a Yak, Mig or Lagg russian fighter.....then we move on to the Pacific.....lol....just wishful thinking....

Id take a Spit - but am I the only one who likes the Typhoon (WW2 and modern although in this instance I refer to WW2 of course).
