I gotta say, despite the missing features and bugs (which we expected), this has been an amazing release. I'm supposed to be programming right now, but instead I'm thinking about flying the Mi-8 again tonight and reading the forums.

I loved the Huey, but the Mi-8 is miles better for me. I don't have rudder pedals, so being able to trim the rudder is one huge benefit. Took me around an hour or two last night to learn the start up procedure (with notes).

Can't wait to get up in the sky again tonight.

There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.

In case you didn't know, you can turn on rudder trim for the Huey in the options :).

A good set of pedals adds a hugh amount to your immersion and fine control level... put a set on the top of your gift wish list Slazi

It's a real joy to fly the Mi-8. Love it. With 1.2.6, the Huey also seems to have gotten some TLC, which makes more manageable (at least for me).

The MI-8 seems to be much more sensitive to wind which I guess you would expect. And the Huey does "feel" better now I agree.

Both are great examples of their type and era and give you a real appreciation for the machines and the men who fly (flew) them.

Not tested the Huey in 1.2.6 yet, but after just a few hours testing the Mi-8, I can control the bird in a landing procedure and land it where I want (not where the copter wants). Nice experience after some very frustrating time with the Huey. :)

Cool module. And for a beta release its very well done. I have bought other games at their final release that will not stand against this one regarding bugs and completeness... dunno if I would call it "fantastic", but for a beta its well done.

Just digging up an old thread to say congratulations on a job very well done. You've deserved your rightful place in the high-fidelity simulation market with the Mi-8!

Thank you!
