Was really looking forward to seeing the new kick starter video, but it is set to private.

Hopefully Ilya hasn't dozed off yet ;)

Edit: Here's the video -

Fantastic work Ilya. That was a whole bunch of information, lots of which I didn't know! :book:

We'll just have to wait until morning (West Coast USA) for him to post the link. :)

EDIT: Ahh, I just read my email. He made it REALLY private, instead of 'only folks with the direct link can view'

Isn't that neat? I've waited all morning to watch it. Yeah, let's get people from other "large new community" all ready to throw cash with private video.

EDIT: Also, I've read somewhere that Yo-Yo isn't a lead programmer. He does all the math and handed it to the programmers.

That's alright, it's one thing to figure out all the calculations and how they should be done (maths) and its another to put that into programming language (programming). And they beter fix that video being set to private ASAP :music_whistling: Why would they set it to private to begin with? Anyone that sees it on youtube can get exposed to the project and might even visit the kickstarted page and pledge!

No longer active in DCS...

It was probably set to private so he could reveal it when he was ready... but he forgot... much like months ago when I saw his initial kickstarter vids on youtube, because he forgot to set them to private ;)

Also the message is a bit negative... like: "if you don't give more money you might get nothing"... maybe a different wording would be better.

Your paraphrase sounds better than the original.

If you've backed at a $40 level, it may seem like you're already getting everything you want. If enough others come in and pledge, you'll get the Me.262 at no extra cost. However what if they don't? No one gets anything.

I don't think that's how he meant it to come out though.

But I agree the words could have been chosen more wisely!

It just occurred to me...

I would easily pledge a dollar, or more, just to see the interview with Yo-Yo. No other kickstarter perks needed. They should have flat out sold tickets to this. :D

Unbelievable. I'm sorry, but if they can't run a basic kickstart, I'm starting to lose any faith in their ability to build a complex WWII sim. I'm sure I'm not the only one with these concerns.

Yo-Yo and team definitely has my respect. I was just saying Luthier should have at least know that. Of course, my memory may have failed me again. :D

You're definitely not alone. I know not to say never but, man, the way it looks now this project ain't leaving the basic tier. Perhaps Luthier thought Oleg's name alone would bring the hive in. I would go out on a limb to say a lot of DCS people probably couldn't care less about Oleg's reputation but got massive rainbow beaming out the wee-wee when heard of Minsk team's and Yo-Yo's involvement. Putting my old flame suit on. :P

I just hope the man does not own a handgun. I've heard that the through and through wound, resulting from shooting one's self in the foot, can be quite painful.
