Well when all you guys upgrade to your 7** or whatever.... think of poor little me and send me your old cards to replace my tired old 460GTX :)

You should have said something sooner. I have a 560ti that has been in the closet for nearly a year.

Sorry off topic but had to ask. If I buy a new GPU do I need to deactivate all my

Modules so as to not losing an activation?

No.

No.

Re-activation is triggered by some amount of "hw-change points". Even if GFX alone does not require it (and I am not sure if it is so), he might have just cumulated enough to reach threshold (i.e. if he previously added RAM, or changed CPU, etc.)...

R9-290X will be $550 MSRP, and beats the Titan in pretty much every game they tested (cept Skyrim).

In both FPS and Frame Timing.

For $450 Less than the Titan.

Well at $520 I pulled the trigger on the ASUS 780.

Anyone interested in a year old Zotac GTX580? :)

Specifically, this Geforce GTX580 3072MB DDR5AMP2 Actually, getting closer to two years old, after checking.

I am holding out purchasing another 2GB 680 to set up SLI. The reason is that I fear that 2GB of graphical memory won't cut it for EDGE. What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance.

It depends on how many pizels you are driving.

I meant 'pixels', btw. :)

Basically, if you are running a single 1080p, about 2megapixels, screen then 2GB should be fine. My main monitor is 2560x1440 (about 1.7 times the pixels) along with a 1080p running Helios and my 3GB card handles it just fine without maxing out the VRAM.

The 780 is finally installed. I didn't have the time for serious testing but some quick comparisons make me think it was worth it. This is running in a PCIE 2.0 slot so I am not taking full advantage of the card right now.

A quick fly around in DCS, with most things on high and plenty of mods, jumped from an average of 40 to 60 in a daytime flight.

P3D is getting nearly 60fps flying over MegaScenery 2.0 Switzerland (much less over the UltraRes New York City.

ROF showed about 85fps with everything maxed (no supersampling or bloom).

Based on this I might upgrade the 660ti in another machine. :)

Luckily it will fit, since this thing isn't small. Here is a pic of my Zotac 580 next to the ASUS 780.

Let me know when you start throwing these old cards away so I can stop by your house and go through your garbage :D

The 580 is yours if you want it, right now. All I am going to ask for is shipping.
