Also i notice you have an i5 CPU, is there some chance that DCS is using the onboard Intel HD graphics instead of your 7870? How do I check if DCS is using the onboard Intel HD Graphics? It's something to do with nVidia Optimus, i'm not too familiar with how that works but i think theres an option to select either Intel HD graphics or nVidia as your primary videocard.

I thought that optimus is something for laptops video cards? Checking my videocard in DCS gives me the Nvidia card not the Intel HD graphics. I experience somehow a small impact on my fps and probably won't be able to go "extreme". This seems to depend a lot on how "crowded" the mission is. Time for me to upgrade my graphic card ? Got it figured. morevisibility help you to see city and detail farther thant before, but i don't know if it can help you in a low and slow fly so... try it ! :p
