:thumbup:YES, DEFINITELY!! though where to sign-up?!?

Would love to see your talent tackling the cyclic and rudder pedals also... not to mention, the dashboard too... but that's all "down-the-line'....

I'd order the collective, count me in...

Jaroslav, of course people would be interested! It looks beautiful and well constructed! The issue isn't so much whether people want it or not, it's whether or not we want to dish out that much money all at once (having not idea how much you would be able to sell it for). Generally I've found that folks are willing to spend thousands over several years putting something together piece by piece, but not all at once. That said don't be discouraged. I believe that with the right marketing one can sell cockpit stuff like what you have at a premium to the right market, but it's a niche market and I'm not sure, but I think most of them don't spend much time on these forums (they are rich and generally don't have time to tinker too much :)).

All that said, hit me! When you know what you are going to charge I'm absolutely interested! I'm building an A-10C cockpit right now but I know it won't be my last. I was even considering starting a location where folks can go and learn to fly the A-10 (or Huey?), F-18 etc. I think there's a market for that as well. In the mean time I'm just like you and enthusiast just waiting to quit my job to follow my dreams :).

Having watched your build, the engineering looks spot on, but, having read numerous other threads on here about buying stuff, it seems once you become a customer, you expect stuff, expect it cheap, and expect it to last for ever.

Warranty, think a few units maybe coming back once in an undisclosed while.

But anyway, rubbish to all that negativity - the hard part is surely the movement of the stick and the feedback and the wiring to a form of joystick adaptor...therefore, you could just as easily (easy...lol.) sell the same platform but with a KA50 panel??? And others if they come available, I mean, a collective is a collective no?

Its people like you that I admire..good on ya mate!

I'am interested in purchasing your collective with integrated console. Aged finish looks superb!

i am seting up my hotas , maybe you now if this is right , for the autopilot setting i use a toggle switch +1, 0, -1, . this works , but is it written right?

{combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN28"}}, down = 3028, up = 3030 ,cockpit_device_id = 9, value_down = 1, value_up = 0, name = "AutoPilot ATTITUDE HOLD", category = "Cheat"},
{combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN28"}}, up = 3030, cockpit_device_id = 9, value_up = 1, name = "AutoPilot ORBIT", category = "Cheat"},

the fuel main swith is a +1, 0 switch and i wrote this , but if i load in a cocpit thats of and the switch is on , then i have to turn the swith of to turn the main fuel on .

{combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN16"}}, down = 3003, up = 3003, cockpit_device_id = 2, value_down = 1, value_up = 0, name = "Main Fuel Switch", category = "Pedestal"},

Hi there..

Well most of the switches I tested worked fine for me however I've learned that it is necessary to set up your hardware switches into certain pattern before loading the scene in order to match your VC.

Looking at the code I would write the same thing regarding the Fuel switch.

For +1.0.-1 switches I wrote something like this:

{combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN5"}, }, down = 3021, up = 3021, cockpit_device_id = 7, value_down = -1, value_up = 0, name = "Dome Light Green", category = "Ins Overhead panel"},

{down = 3021, cockpit_device_id = 7, value_down = 0, name = "Dome Light Off", category = "Ins Overhead panel"},

{combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN4"}, }, down = 3021, up = 3021, cockpit_device_id = 7, value_down = 1, value_up = 0, name = "Dome Light White", category = "Ins Overhead panel"},

Because I didn't edited the OFF position of the switch and assigned the same action for both up and down, the switch automatically returns to 0 when button 5 or 4 turns off.

I hope this will help, anyway keep trying:thumbup::music_whistling:

I'm quite sure that I've just reinvented a wheel :smartass:

You have :D I've seen 'autopsy' photo's of a real world military aircraft illuminated switch panel and the way that it was done is VERY similar to the solution you have worked out here...

Really nice job

Beautiful! A very nice back-lighting solution!! The fewer LEDs make it actually more realistic.

You mentioned you "invented a wheel", but it sure ain't a regular wheel!! It's Jaroslav's Wheel!! :smartass: :smilewink:

Look forward to see / hear more about the eBay site....

Q:

- Possible to buy panels now, and then the collective later, once that's done?

- At what point does the box...., where the collective is "mounted" on and which holds the Switch panels... become available?

- Will you at one point sell the COMPLETE collective assembly (Box, Switch plates and Collective lever mechanism? If so, would it still make sense to buy the individual modules now?

- Do you ship to the US Virgin Islands in the Caribbean?

Couple questions- would this come as-is shown in the first picture? And would you ship to the US?

Jaroslav,

So just to be clear, is the power/lights/engine panel depicted on top or you collective "unit." From the paper template picture, it looks like it but it's a little hard to tell in the other pics.

The plans for the casing is for the main "box" that you show in the first picture, correct?

And finally, what do you think you'll be charging for the collective?

Thanks

Here's some tips and tricks on panel building with Leds for backlighting, may save some reinventing.

Thank's m8

This is the cockpit I mentioned earlier where I found an inspiration however I'm using quite big "heavy duty" switches which restrict the space between the switch and engraved sueface to something like 10mil. I mean 10 mil is a lot but as you can see on those other pictures there is five led's to illuminate four "three letter" simbols.. Honestly I'm quite confident that I could achieve the same glow with only two led's and pockets:smilewink:

Yes the panel on top of whole unit (first pic) is what is in the listing BUT bear in mind it comes as three independent units now (last pic)

This will add more options and fun to it because I'm designing more panels like Radios, Armament, Sim control etc.

Then yes again "casing" I mean - Main box.

And finally.. I aim this project from it's birth to be a low cost solution for all of us but unfortunately it still depends on a crowd so I can't really say..
