A Portuguese Squadron flying multi-role operations in the various modern airframes and maps. We try to replicate real operations as much as we can, but adapt some procedures to the sim reality. We are currently recruiting in pre-scheduled sessions called "Open Skies". We currently fly the F-16CM Falcon, the F/A-18C Hornet, AV-8B Harrier N/A and A-10C Thunderbolt II. We are organized in three divisions: 1st Air Force Division "Eagles", 2nd Amphibious Division "Sharks" and the "Lusitanos" Aerobatic Team, composed of operational members. I am a very big ace combat fan as i am sure many who play this game are too. I have looked through many dcs groups and never found one for me they are all only usaf planes or have a structure based on them no Russian planes no fc3 planes all based on America. It gets old after awhile and it alienates foreign aircraft players. my solution? turn to ace combat all of the nations are fictional and use mixes of all different nations along with allowing for completely off the wall scenario ideas. this is not a hardcore Milsim group we will require srs. the plan is to eventually have a server but for now we do not. Die virtuelle taktische Jagdstaffel 17 ist eine Gruppe erfahrener Flugenthusiasten, in der die Aufgaben einer realen deutschen Jagdstaffel abgebildet werden. Zentrum des Staffellebens ist der regelmäßige Flugbetrieb, sowie der staffeleigene Officers-Club (Discord). Unser Staffelleben zeichnet sich durch lockere und flache Strukturen ab, realen militärfliegerischen Verbänden nachempfunden. Militärische Ränge gibt es bei uns nicht, auch wenn wir in einer militärischen Struktur organisiert sind. Wir trainieren auf dem Level „full real“ (Fehlerkultur, Prozeduren, Funk). Unser Ausbildungsprogramm ist dem realen Syllabus nachempfunden und wird durch staffeleigene Prozeduren (SOPs), sowie ein Lernmanagementsystem komplettiert. Unser Fokus liegt auf der fliegerischen Qualifikation (Combat Status) und den gesammelten Flugstunden. Unser langfristiges Ziel ist es, regelmäßig an gemeinsamen Missionen mit anderen virtuellen Verbänden teilzunehmen. Wir fliegen in der aktuellsten „STABLE-Version“ von DCS World, mit dem Muster F/A-18C „Hornet“ Lot 20, in der Rolle des taktischen Fighters. Zu unseren Aufgaben gehört das ganze Spektrum des Luftkampfes, sowie die Unterdrückung feindlicher Luftabwehr (SEAD). Das ca. zweieinhalb stündige Training beginnt mit einem Briefing und endet mit einem De-Briefing, um möglichst effiziente und effektive Trainingskurven zu ermöglichen. „Lesson learned“ wird bei uns großgeschrieben, weshalb Flüge und Fehler durch unsere Fluglehrer (IPs) detailliert besprochen werden. Unser Flugfunk findet in englischer Sprache statt und wird mittels Brevity Codes übersichtlich gehalten. Reale Abläufe und Teamplay gehören zu unseren Prioritäten. Für Kampfmissionen ist uns wichtig, dass das jeweilige Missionsziel erreicht wird. Sonderaufgaben wie Instructor Pilot (IP) können bei entsprechender fachlicher und menschlicher Qualifikation übernommen werden. Das gilt auch für nicht fliegerische Aufgaben wie Web Content Gestalter oder Organisator. Egomanen sind bei uns fehl am Platz.

JTF-191 was formed in June of 2020 and is composed of 5 squadrons with 40+ active members. We operate as a tactical realism group with an emphasis on joint operations with all branches of military aviation. Ultimately the goal is to have the most fun we can. We have a detailed training program for all new pilots that focuses on teaching a working knowledge of the airframe and relevant tactics. Our training is built to both teach new pilots about their selected airframes or to provide refreshers to experienced pilots. With detailed courses on everything from take-off and landings to air-to-air tactics, the training program is designed to ensure you are comfortable in your role and up to the task of joining our ranks. JTF-191 has a unit level overseen system to provide training and check-off to entrants. The intent of this program is to ensure that all new members start with a baseline level of familiarity with their selected airframe, general aviation procedures, and military procedures and tactics. Depending on your background, availability, and dedication this program may take longer or shorter. The typical time for a player new to DCS is about a month. The maximum allowed time to remain in the entrant training program (exceptions for communicated absences and special circumstances) is six months, we want to get you in your squadron quickly. The entrant training program is overseen by Unit Level Command and Instructor Pilots, within the unit, in each squadron and J7. Should you have an issue with entry training or the JTF-191 use the Entry Training Channel in the JTF Discord. This channel is viewed by all the JTF and qualified members can coordinate training times and topics. While in the Entrant Training Program, pilots are assigned to VT-7 for the Navy and Marines and the 89th FTS for the Air Force. For those brand new to DCS, military aviation, or aviation in general the entrant program is geared to provide detailed training. An instructor in your unit or like units will work with you to introduce various new concepts and get your skills to a point where self-improvement is possible. For those who are experienced with DCS and military aviation the entrant program acts as a refresher and check-off on skills. When working with you, the instructor will simply act to certify what you already know and can do. Where necessary they will provide refreshment on concepts or teach things you have not before encountered. During your time in the Entrant Program, you are absolutely welcome to join in on JTF wide events and squadron events. In fact, we encourage that. We want you to meld with your parent squadron. Upon finishing your training, you are placed into an operational squadron with a custom livery made just for you. Each squadron handles their own training, keeping their pilots skills up to par with the unit standards. We have several dedicated servers that are up 24/7 and a unit-wide mission night every Saturday. Saturday missions range from fun PvP missions to organized pre-planned sorties built in an ongoing deployment campaign. We are always actively looking for pilots to fly with us! We focus on helping new and experienced pilots hone their aviation and combat knowledge. Our company is a private aerial security and contracting unit designed and tailored for use of militaries around the world. We can provide Air Superiority, Air to Ground, Escorts, Training, and more. We always have open spots for new pilots. Though squadron spaces may be limited based on who has what jet, we still recruit for all of our squadrons. Our squadrons may include; Project Vanguard: Project Vanguard is a 5th Gen Fighter squadron using the BEST aircraft in the world today. Equipped with the F-22 Raptor, Su-57 Felon and F-35A Lightning this squadron is able to do anything and everything! This squadron requires high amounts of skill and requires knowledge on A-A and A-G. BVR is an intensive part of this squadron. The Devils Naval Squadron: The Devils Naval Squadron is our Naval Air Support squadron that operates the F-14B and the F/A-18. This jet is a multirole carrier capable fighter and is able to handle anything you throw at it. Here it will serve as anything. It will be dogfighting and suppressing enemy fire for our troops. Our main task, though, is capability to provide quick, tactical, and seaborne responses to enemy threats. Hellfire Ground Attack Squadron: The Hellfire Ground Attack squadron is a squadron based around Ground Attack and Close Air Support. They use the AV-8B and A-10 Warthog as their main jets. They provide much of the ground attacks in our squadron, and will be used very extensively during contracts and operations. Rangers Training Squadron: The Rangers Training Squadron is our current training squadron operating the MB-339 and soon will be replaced by the T-45 Goshawk. Its a good multirole trainer able to reach fair speeds and has a instructor seat. It will be mandatory to attend this squadron when you first join. Here at Darkwater we value each of our employees and airmen to a degree that is paramount. When you join Darkwater, you enter into a family.
