  2. the cracker and coke generation
  3. DCS World does not need to run as Admin, and in fact can cause problems if you do. If copying the file by hand works, that means the file is correct. Most likely OvGME is copying it into a wrong path.
  4. My apologies. I'm sure you're not common.
  5. AFAIK (didn't work on F-16s, but have worked in aviation refueling), in order for fuel to reach the external tanks from the single-point refueling receptacle, the fuel must first flow through the internal tanks (I'm not sure specifically which tanks in which order without the fuel system diagram in front if me). Since the internal tank pressure is only reduced as opposed to completely depressureized, it takes a bit of force to push the fluid through those tanks so fuel can flow to the externals. The other half of the problem is that the fuel slider in the rearming menu only cares about internal fuel level. So once the internal tanks are completely filled, the ground crew will stop fuel flow, even if the externals are only partially filled. This is a long-standing DCS limitation, as realistically you'd probably either be able to keep fuel pressure and permit flow to the externals, or just fuel the external tanks manually via the fill caps with an over-wing nozzle. ED has mentioned in the past about the possibility of having fuel sliders for external tanks in addition to internal. The reason people have made the suggestion to be under a specific amount of fuel is to ensure that there's enough time for fuel to flow to the external tanks before the internals are filled, cutting off fuel flow. While this is a more "rule-of-thumb" method to ensure external tanks are refilled, the best guarantee is to have the ground crew remove and replace the external tanks (jettisoning the tanks not necessarily required, depending on your situation).
  6. Guess you are confusing me with @-Rudel- ... he is on the Corsair development team, I'm just a common user.
  7. That's not the RSBN channel indicated on the Mig-21 kneeboard: Try channel 18 instead
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong but based on the update notes, the fix you mentioned didn't make it into today's update Any timeline on when we can expect a fix?
  9. I'm just curious @-Rudel-, has the decision been made to keep the whistling effect as is or have the devs just not gotten around to fixing or at least looking into it yet? Thx.
  10. We know we are getting the -3 variant of the F6F hellcat but for those who don't know, late production -3 Hellcats received the R-2800-10W with water-methanol injection like the -5. I was curious if we'll get that option or if it is just going to be a standard -3 without it. I figured it would make sense since we already have the F4U-1D with the water methanol injection and entered service about similar time to the F6F-5.
  11. Changelog only mentions erroneous warnings for missile launch. TRML-4D is also an AESA radar, so the tracking question still stands, unless i'm missing something obvious.
  12. I mean guys, it's very easy to duplicate the test by yourself, you will find a very similar conclusion with mine. I have tested many times, many configurations and I know it will end like this.. just make sure you know how to properly maintain a level flight in the F14B it indeed needs some practicing.
  13. This was noted in the changelog (though FWIW the radar used is a TRML-4D, though the radar is fairly similar to the Giraffe 4a).
  14. EO guidance for: SA-6 SA-8 SA-11 SA-15 SA-22 TVS/SAGG Guidance for: SA-6 SA-11 SA-10 SA-15 M2 IRIS-T Patriot Missiles guided via TVS/SAGG should not trip the missile launch warning for the RWRs.
  15. Basically the title. IRIS-T triggers both the track warning of the F-16 RWR as well as the missile warning launch, which makes zero sense. It's an AESA radar, assuming it's a Giraffe 4a, so I'd expect it to be able to provide datalink guidance for the IRIS-T missile while in TWS-like mode. Especially when the missile drops the nose cone cap and switches to IR guidance, even then the RWR missile warning stays on.
  16. I assume it's still a work in progress type of a change. Based on Rudel's response above I feel they'll announce it when it's finished/starts working...
  17. * I apparently failed to see the FFB issue 5 posts below.. I’m sure it’s all related. But the track are here regardless.
  18. What we need is for them to give us the FF MIG29A manual for DCS. The release of the plane is in September (less than a month), so I don't see why we can't get the early-access manual a bit earlier.
  19. According to today's change log, the WEP switch has been added. I suppose it's the "Enable Water Injection" switch. I see no effect though.
  20. Just trying out the new UH1 internal cargo system with the new patch today. Unloading internal cargo drops the model directly under the tail rotor. If you make a larger object it will destroy your tail rotor. Probably the worst place you could possibly put the cargo. Can this be changed to be either off the nose outside the rotor disc or off to the side of the cargo doors?
  21. @currenthill Amazing, work! But for me personally, your amazing models have no use as I make maps set in the Cold War era. That's why I want to ask if you're planning units from the Cold War era? Units and especially infantry from the 80s, USA, Russia, West/East Germany, would be very helpful, especially on the Germany map
  22. Working CCIP for S-24 rockets and the 30mm grenade launcher would be nice to have...
  23. IF a Vietnam map happens, I wouldn't be surprised if ED releases a refurbished UH-1H. But I think it's more likely that they will go for a modernized UH-60 or a CH-53 before spending more time on UH-1H...
  24. Today
  25. Added the ability to designate an AWACS surveillance (SURV) Multi-Sensor Integration (MSI) track file as the Launch and Steering (L&S) or Designated Target 2 (DT2). This is a work in progress with expected changes/improvements later. When finalized, an instructional video will be provided. Known issues: AIM-120 desync issues (not strictly an MSI issue, but rather more visible because of it) Half-sized HAFU for MSI track in TWS radar mode. Missing L&S, MSI-only tracks on SA page. Incorrect AIM-120 RWR warnings from MSI-only launches. Incorrect HMD indication of MSI-only targets as friendly. All MSI targets should be in the priority ranking matrix. Low priority tracks presentation missing. HAFU's missing proper MEM flashing logic based on contributing source. L&S Trackfile losing radar contribution causes the trackfile to be deleted and requires re-designating.
  26. Hi, I have a couple of questions. I installed the mod and fix via ovgme: But when I try to load a mission with templates I get the error that is talked in this topic: I am using the MT version and launching the game as administrator. Is there something I am missing to do, using the latest DCS version. EDIT: Did manually the fix of copying and renaming the file and it worked, no idea why with the mod manager don't.
