Just catching this here as well , so it doesn't get missed. If you transport cargo from a ship to another ship then the cargo doesn't link to the new ship and disappears (as expected really), a little tweak in the code to somehow link that cargo to the new home is needed please

No idea if realistic or not (so no bug report) but I thought it was interesting that Pantsir and Tor M2 shoot down Hellfires. Makes them very strong in defence.

ED will not show signs of life without a reproducible use case. I said previously - there were bugs related to views, some were fixed, but there may still be more. But this thread so far was more confusing than evidence based. It's not like nobody believes there are bugs, but always try to make it easy for the guys to reproduce. Provide tracks, configs, videos, evidence. I can't test any Corsair mission as I don't have the bird, yet I wanted to help originally with other missions you provided, but these were wrong missions (baked-in views) and your replay was "but what about"... It's jsut very difficult to help in such a case. Make the case clear, I know it's sometimes really hard, but it's close to impossible to reproduce anything based on anecdotes. These things can even be different bugs caused by different things, just manifesting in a similar manner. ED will not waste time on a report as vague as this one. They have many more quality reports and then they have their priorities as well, so even totally obvious proven bugs are not fixed for many years. Is it Marians WWII related? Is it F-16C training mission related? Is it Corsair related (is it even ED's problem in that case)? Hunt down a concrete case and document it well.

Thanks, I had a look, there are some modified textures MODs for color, etc. I didn't see a MOD with a new pristine factory cockpit. And also, by default it seems to me that the vanilla textures are not crystal clear compared to other DCS aircrafts. Especially on the instruments and labels but maybe I miss something.

Are large monitors still relevant?
TheBiggerBass replied to MJY65's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
A "57 magnifying glass would be more expensive and heavier than my "57 32:9 monitor, I guess. I think I keep my monitor for now. -
This topic keeps coming back like a boomerang. @BIGNEWY Do you see it? It seems the time has come for a full, official manual.

Looking for a real 47 pilot who can act as an advisory role, tactics, operations etc etc. I have plans for a multi mission campaign here, I want to make sure all the missions are structured in an authentic manner with the right elements involved. So if you are that person and want to help me make sure the campaign feels authentic and believable please reach out.

Are large monitors still relevant?

I'm still using my 5" tube monitor with a magnifying glass - nothing wrong with it. -
Hey guys. I failed mission 10 (The Raid) while attacking the stolen convoy in their war to Raqqa. My wingman (Shadow, in 305) made the attack with the two Mavs and after that tried a gun strafe, pulled up and called "Mayday Mayday!" and gone. Got a mission fail. After checking on TAC View file, he just disappeared. Check on the attached capture (2 hours, 2 minutes and 36 seconds into the mission). Bug maybe? wingman_gone.mp4

Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
Doughguy replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well calling it a big fail is a big strech. This module is early access. The problem is again wind. Remove the wind from the mission and you can taxi. You dont even need differential braking but can steer with rudders. -
I have tried both versions of ATACMS (CM+HE) and placed Fire at Point actions with the target area well within max range but neither are firing at all? No probs with MLRS launching HIMARS. No probs with the TOS-1 either.

Hi, The DCS website says for the EA: Standard Russian new and weathered liveries in addition to Iraqi and Syrian schemes. My understanding is that only applies to the external model and not the cockpit. Because in the trial version I checked Options > Mi-24P > Special and there is only a dropdown menu with default or english cockpit. I was looking for a new factory cockpit...

My suspicion simply is that the chinook did not sell es expected and now they are kind of abandoned it. When the real bad EA of the Viper happend, they said they learned from it and would never again launch a module in this early state they did with the Viper. But for me, the Chinook launch was even worse! And now almost no updates in a year, but Afghanistan, Iraq, Mig 29, F 35... Clearly the focus has drifted to quantity instead of quality, which is a shame... I bought a lot modules over the years and I always wanted to support ED, but recently I just don't think that's a good idea since I don't see that they are really taking care of their stuff. Maybe we are lucky now that the Viper came out of EA, but I hardly think so. So the Chinook together with Afghanistan were my last EA purchase from ED as long as I don't see any notable progress on the chinook.

Running Tacview with multiple DCS server instances on the same user account via different writedirs (DCS_server.exe -w DCS.server1..N) currently results in all Tacview files from all instances being combined into a single folder. Is there a way to have Tacview store the files within the profile/instance/writedir folder, i.e., %USERPROFILE%/Saved Games/DCS.serverN/? The only configuration option I found so far is the following registry key: [HKCU\\SOFTWARE\\Raia Software Inc.] "TacviewExportPath"="C:\\\\DCS_configs\\\\Tacview\\\\" Being part of HKCU, it results in a combined folder for all instances/writedirs as described above. What do I need this for? I maintain a project to facilitate running the DCS dedicated server on Linux via Wine. It supports multiple server instances with separate writedirs. After manual installation, Tacview runs well with it and I'd like to streamline the admin experience by separating Tacview files per server instance to provide fine-grained remote file access on a per-instance basis. Setting the directory via environment variables or alternatively a variable in the Tacview scripts or autoexec.cfg would be an option for me. Basically, any way to do this in an automated fashion would suit me. Also, to facilitate server-side Tacview deployment, I'd like to install the Tacview hook scripts and DLLs automatically. Would you be open to that? It would need a straightforward access to the relevant files, short of downloading the ~1 GB installer exe and extracting the required files from it. Feel free to DM me on this matter to discuss details.

For AAR DCS doesn't care if you open the refuel hatch 5 seconds or 5 minutes prior to starting the refuelling process no matter your external tank configuration. It will fill it up to your maximum capacity no matter what.

Mi-24 Rudders issue (ignore trim, move to the left)
Raven (Elysian Angel) replied to Yuriks's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I suspect that in the real helicopter the yaw autopilot moves the pedals automatically if needed to maintain heading. I have it disabled as well, and I think it's only beneficial for us simmers if we have FFB pedals. Since most of us don't, it's best to leave it disabled to prevent problems. -
So there you have it... I am glad I am not the only one.... As already mentioned, I think I have found a temporary workaround to this issue, at least until ED notices this thread and hopefully fix this issue....... I have marked the file SnapViews.lua as "read only", and it seems to work with all my missions, and even in the training missions. Ever so astonished by ED not showing signs of life concerning this matter.....
