  1. Past hour
  2. I hope Eagle Dynamics can clarify where they found evidence in the first place. Don't trust source from wartime mig-29 in 1999. As those were not maintained, nor updated as they were supposed to be in 1996 !
  3. No, I have not tried a newer version. The reason is that the release after the one I got broke using Mbucchias external quadviews and Tallymouse Quadviews companion app. Fortuneatly I read about this before doing any update. Then after that they released a new version that fixed this issue, but I held back - letting others do the beta testing And then they released the newest Pimax Play version yesterday that seem to give people this swirls issue in the center of the display. So for me - if it is working - I wait... but.. the newest features with scaling and sharpening would be nice - for example in No Man's Sky VR which I plan to pick up again after not playing it for a long time. No Man's Sky doesn't support OpenXR even, and no dynamic foveated rendering either it seems.
  4. I will second that recommendation. Very useful tool for the Apache.
  5. this might help if you have issues with joystick ID's changing and you loose your bindings
  6. Any clue about this ?
  7. The schedule, for what I can say, is: F-18/F-16 MiG-29A AH-64D (maybe) The best solution for the meanwhile is using tool like CoordinateConverter by FalcoGer
  8. Yes I had the free option
  9. Did you try the newer Pimax Play versions? Did you get tracking issues with them which are not present in 1.40? Maybe I should try 1.40 too. 1.41 and 1.42 both give me jittering in DCS. I only play DCS so I don't mind losing the most recent features of 1.41+. I guess you can't downgrade the HMD firmware. I'm on 1.08.
  10. Was it a free upgrade? I assume you have a licensed copy of W10 as I do.
  11. Maybe it's been delineated somewhere, but it would be helpful to know what set of performance charts the flight model was designed around? What I've seen from my testing is the module is slower at tops speeds than essentially any F4u variant. But overall sluggishness aside, It's hard to test the fidelity, as a user, when you don't know what the module should be able to achieve, speed wise, etc. On a more general note, what's missing in DCS sim validation is the direct back and forth between programmer and tester. I understand that would break the immersion for some, peeking under the hood, but most DCS testing is done in an information vacuum. We're left to speculate, hypothesize and invariably fight amongst ourselves, often over easily answerable questions. My speculation / first question would be are the "speed problem" and "exaggerated need for trimming linked?" Is excess drag on the trim surfaces the cause of both?
  12. please try again now, the server has just been rebooted by the admin. thank you
  13. Just tried to star the Sim. That's What happened: What's your suggestion? Try again later? Thanks in advance Hans
  14. No problem, I did the upgrade option for my windows 11 install and it went smoothly.
  15. Completely skipped over the Hidden on MFD option. This is great, i'll forward that over to some campaign makers as well. Jazz Hands
  16. Thank you for your reply, Mr. BIGNEWY. I didn't know I could just upgrade! I thought I had to do a fresh install without upgrading my Windows 10 Pro. Thanks again, that will be easier.
  17. Great, thanks. Will test again after update and report here.
  18. Got it. I will run it by the devs.
  19. There was track file added - now it's gone.
  20. Third-party illumination for the Ka-50 will not work. The Ka-50 can only illuminate a target for itself using its own codes and encryption.
  21. A few more shots, been having some fun doing short field landing practice at RAF Hawkinge in the FAA Corsair
  22. I don't understand - why is this Pimax Play version still available and also the only version available on Pimax homepage? This Swirls issue seems like a big problem. I am still on version 1.40 for Pimax Play and still use Crystal Super firmware 1.07 because it seems like every new version causes an issue. Now, for DCS I am happy with this "old" combo - Pimax Play 1.40 and firmware 1.07 for Crystal Super because it I don't have tracking issues with my headset, the sound is OK/good, I don't use hand controllers, I don't use the Pimax Play Quadviews but rather mbucchias "external" Quad views - along with Tally Mouse Quadviews companion app so I get to fine adjust my quadviews settings anyway. And this gives me very good image quality and performance i DCS. DCS... Now, here's the thing - I would like to upgrade, the new upscale and sharpening tool in Pimax Play sounds nice for games that don't support Quadviews. But - I really don't want to take the chanche of breaking my DCS performance quality wise - and frames/sec wise.
  23. A step in the right direction, but I have to say that tracking still needs improvement. I still get jittering in DCS. It's better now, but not great. And this is after following all tips and tweaks available (covering reflective surfaces, different lighting, reinstall Nvidia drivers, assigning dedicated cores for pi_server, etc...). New in this version for me: lagging tracking from time to time which goes away if I restart Pimax Play. Please improve tracking further. I actually believe the tracking just sucks out too much CPU resources. DCS also needs a lot, so that's a bad combination.
  24. This is the reason I've been experimenting with running the jug at RPM upwards of 3000 and boost around 75". Poor engine doesn't last long at those settings though, but you can certainly increase RPM a little bit above 2700 and gain a few horses.
  25. Hi you should be fine if you are doing a upgrade of windows. Just do a cloud backup of your dcs folder in saved games. You may find the hardware ID's change for your input devices and you have to import them again from the backup.
