Unfortunately there's no way to trigger an overheat and I was hoping the damage system was "simple" enough to clear the fire once the engine was shut down. Furthermore, a nozzle failure or even an oil leak does not result in degradation of engine performance. Also, triggering a compressor stall results in 2 or 3 bangs and the fault clears itself. I cannot trigger it again after that so as to make it seem it is an ongoing issue and needs to be dealt with. The only option is to have the engine seize. I realize this is going beyond what an entertainment product is meant to be for the average consumer but it is nice to experiment from a nerd- point of view. Thanks for the reply.

You'd think that if they can disable the option to log in locally, they would also be able to disable the button that allows you to rename the domain controller and sink the entire ship, or maybe make it run those 3 magical commands instead, but no... top notch engineering I guess

Ciao a tutti, apro un thread apposito per non inquinare quello dedicato alle vendite, in breve come da titolo stò cercando un collettivo per elicotteri, preferibilmente Winwing ma vanno bene anche periferiche di altro brand. Non faccio questione di prezzo ma chiedo solo agli eventuali interessati di proporre periferiche in ordine e perfettamente funzionanti, quindi per favore niente roba mancante di pezzi, molto usurata, ecc... Per adesso grazie.

Ok, great, thanks. Although I have almost all moduls my server.lua is much smaller than yours and just contains entries for only tree aircrafts. I understand server.lua in DCS World/config/view must not be changed to maintain IC. Instead a copy of server.lua should be stored in Saved Games/DCS/config/view, correct? P.S.: I also found a Views.lua entry in DCS World/mods/aircraft/<aircraft name> of each aircraft where limits_6DOF seem to be set per aircraft. I wonder which of all those definitions is finally used by DCS? -

I agree with everything you have said here. Regarding the SHAR, the Blue Vixen (FA.2) is most definitely still under tight wraps, that's for sure, and as you say, the RWR would be problematic; likewise for the Tornado GR, the Sky Shadow pod, etc. The Lightning, Sea Vixen, Buccaneer, Hunter, Jaguar, and Harrier Gr.1/3, in my opinion, would be fair enough game for DCS, based on the amount of information that is available, more than enough for a DCS FF module. But, wouldn't it be a perfect DCS world if all these and more were available as AI assets? Hint, Hint, CH.

I’m part way through my semi regular walkthrough where I fly all of my modules. Helps me not forget, I like the variety and along the way I get to refine my kneeboards for my HOTAS layout and guidance.

1. Lights would be a nice option - best to be controlled by ME or a driving player, because some vehicles don't use lights to keep them hidden in the dark or use special faint low level lights when moving. Some vehicles do use lights at night in DCS. Check LAV Tigr and M92 assets. Braking lights is a detail I didn't check. 2. DM of ground assets is very simple and there are some far future plans to improve it. Some small steps are being made though with newer assets. 3. I think it's done for the game purpose of triggering the kill faster. Since the DM is simple it'd have to be randomized. 4. Reaction to threat is controllable in ME and the vehicles go back on track after a while. Can't remember if you can set the time they get back on track. The ground vehicles crew is not simulated at all. After losing enough % of HP the unit starts smoking, drives slower, then stop and eventually stop firing too (can't remember which of the last two happens first) before the final kill and exploding. You're expecting too much from a flight simulator. Some of it would require a lot of work and additional computing power during gameplay. It's a good wish though to have more realistic AI, ground vehicles behavior and damage models

Steike eagle is such a fun bird. What bombs and how many you want sir? Yes please. I fly mostly short bits between obligations. So a quick dogfight in. MiG-15, a rescue in a huey, things like that. Sadly haven't got the time to truly get to grips with some of the more intricate birds like phantom, viggen or apache.

Hi, we are unable to reproduce and all seems normal here. Please include a track replay next time it happens so we can check yours. But most likely there is a bindings issue. thank you -

Polish and GDR bare metal are for sure. But the camo ones are technically fictional since by that time the 17/Lim5 was converted to a Fighter Bomber with a slightly different cockpit, no radar, and different gunsight. Also had permanent ub16-57 rocket pods mounted.- 19 replies
