  2. If ED does purchase the MiG-23, let's hope it does work out that way.
  3. Thanks for clarifying. Let's hope for the best.
  4. It would be nice if the co-pilot (AI) were interactive as well. Here's an example from multicrew, but what about the SP and the AI's conversation? For example, the approach countdown should be given by AI too: 1000, 750, 500, etc.
  5. Presumably, you'd want a progress report of some sort, as a prerequisite of purchase. Lying in such a report would be very ill-advised and grounds for an expensive lawsuit, so if RAZBAM agreed to provide it, it should be reasonably accurate.
  6. If you have the option and the pricing is decent in your region, I would get a 9060 XT.
  7. And yet here you are........moaning about half baked modules that may or may not be further developed, which NOBODY forced you to buy..
  8. I gave it a try: I set up two JTACs, one emitting at 133 AM (VHF), the other one emitting at 256 AM (UHF). I can call the Radio menu from the L-39ZA using the "VHF Radio Button - Push to talk" command, but the "JTAC" item is absent. I can call the Radio menu from the L-39C using the "Radio Button (call radio menu)" command, but the "JTAC" item is absent. In the same mission, I can see the "JTAC" item when flying in a F/-18C and both JTAC answer whenever I call them. I'm not familiar with the L-39. I'm not 100% sure it is a bug. @razo+r Can you please give my track a go? L-39_no_JTAC.trk
  9. Миг-21 по системам очень далёк от оригинала. По ФМ сказать сложно, но тоже есть претензии.
  10. You got a point there. But both the F-15E and the M-2000 just sounded too good to pass. I also put some weight into both parties saying (one more than the other) that they are working in all earnesty to resolve the issue. There were also official words from ED that they were intending to make the modules work for a long time. So maybe let me rephrase my point: since there is no recompensation for a module suddenly becoming defunct, I am wary on buying more stuff from external devs.
  11. I hope your point simply is you are frustrated by the ED/RB issue, like a lot of us are, because if you really compare that with buying the C-130J, I guess it takes more guts buying the M-2000C earlier this year than going in for the C-130J, imho.
  12. Agree - although we're really talking about math so my saying so is probably redundant - but you'd have to buy it without getting a chance to check out how it's been done and you'd have to take a lot on trust. How would you go about figuring out how much it would save you?
  13. Thanks for the reply, but I will wait until some tutorials can teach me how to use the radio.

  15. Worth noting, there's a difference between picking them up for maintenance and actually doing something to develop them. They should maintain existing modules as a matter of course, but I'd imagine only the Mudhen would be worth actively developing. For what it's worth, the Mirage 2000 seems to be mostly complete, but the MiG-19 has many minor issues and the Harrier was in the middle of a major rework. All depends on the asking price. A half-completed module can still save many man-hours of work, for which ED would have to pay for. If the price to buy the module is lower than the cost of labor to redo that work, then it's a deal worth making.
  16. Yes, very much so. If you're going to throw money at resurrecting a module you'll want that money being thrown back at you in new sales. So a module that is niche and/or has already sold most of the units it is ever likely to is less attractive. Although if ED are picking them up then less direct benefits (i.e. restoring customer confidence) might also be a considered worthwhile.
  17. Hmm, while this sounds very exciting, I probably won't pick this up. I've purchased the M-2000C earlier this year for 55€. Now I learn that the module will be defunct past version 2.9xx (and it's already buggy btw) --- so I basically threw 55€ out the window. I am not sure why I should bother to invest in a new module from an external developer other than Heatblur.
  18. Because ED has not build half baked modules for years.....
  19. Posted it elsewhere already, those videos are exactly what I want to see before release. Show us how things work in practice. Not more not less. Awesome indeed! Also like the tone of you both working together.
  20. Just shooting my mouth off here: If I was ED there would be no way I would even entertain the idea of buying Razbam's MiG-23 - not because it's not an aircraft worth having in DCS, it certainly is, but because the price worth paying for the mature modules would include the value of the loss of goodwill from existing owners, that wouldn't factor in for the -23. Don't reward Ron for another half-built module, better for ED to wait and build one themselves from scratch.
  21. Sorry, we currently cant provide any ETAs. Cheers
  22. Hi I’m really enjoying the campaign but getting frustrated with navigation. Is there a way of starting the clock to time navigation legs and that will accelerate and deccelerate with the fast forward option? Also the magnetic headings given by Dai seem wrong. On mission 3 for example he asks for 187 for the Somme Estuary yet the track is about 183M and the wind is from 060? I always end up well right of track. I’m using VR and have not found the way of displaying digital information such as ac compass heading etc. I find the magnetic compass is far too susceptible to turning error to be almost useless in the air. Is there a way in VR to display digital flight info? Any help would be appreciated! c
  23. Im not an expert on the system. Maybe someone else can dive into the details of how AGC works exactly and provide you with them.
  24. The F4 AVTR also has mechanical rewinding (its also animated if you look at the cassette in the deck while it is recording). It rewinds quite fast though (just a few seconds for the entire 20 min cassette). The Tape Player (a feature not present in the real aircraft) was put on top of the AVTR and is a bit more magical in that sense. Otherwise you would run into trouble with for example the cassette only supporting 20min and the EOT light not triggering on the last track and so on. So yeah, the "tape player" works a bit more like a CD player, while the underlying AVTR does work like a cassette recorder (with mechanical rewind etc). Fun fact, the AVTR mechanical rewind is fully simulated and computed. If you unwind, but dont wait long enough, and then keep recording again, your footage in your Saved Games folder will overlap.
  25. Почему при удалении сообщения, счётчик в профиле не скручивается обратно? Если я напишу тысячу сообщений, и они все будут удалены, то счётчик будет показывать тысячу. Разве это правильно?
  26. Oh, I like how those guys make teaser videos. Exactly my thing. Show us how things work in practice. Not more not less. That's the stuff. Keep them coming! Thanks!
  27. Would be interested to know too, don't forget WinWing are about to release different yokes (FFB and non FFB) along with their own designed FFB sticks/bases.
